Instead of flying from Kathmandu to Lukla, we will take a jeep from Kathmandu to Thamndanda.
From Thamdanda, the real trekking adventure begins. After walking for a few hours, the first stop will be Surke (2,290 meters) passing through Paiya and followed by Lukla (2,860 meters). You will then walk to Phakding (2,610 meters), a traditional Sherpa village by the Dudh Koshi River. You will be picked up in a private vehicle for your comfort. For the welcome ceremony, you will be welcomed with a marigold garland and traditional Khada (ceremonial scarf).
