Kicking off 600km journey on Nepal’s longest Highway is full of life. Flying to Biratnagar Airport and driving to Koshi Tappu is the beginning of Complete Wildlife Tour in Nepal. Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, a protected park in Eastern Nepal is birder’s paradise. 485 species of birds including residential and migratory birds have been recorded at Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve. Rarest Bengal florican has been frequented sighted at wetlands of Koshi Tappu.
Three hundred and thirty kilometers west lies Chitwan National Park. The heavenly abode for more than 45 species of mammals which includes one horned rhino and Royal Bengal Tiger, over 450 species of colorful birds, and more than 45 species of amphibians and scary reptiles including ghariyal. The park, offers probably the best Elephant Safari of the continent. Travelling almost 250 km west is Bardia National Park.
