Trip of a lifetime from Access Nepal! Extra touches by Guide Devman Tamang!
Oct 2017 • Friends
Just got back a week ago from our trek to Everest Base Camp with Access Nepal. This was the best adventure in my life and will be burned deep into my memory for long. Thank you to Access Nepal! Thank you Sadhana Adhikari for ensuring all of our questions were answered about logistics, gear, food, water and warning us how to avoid problems. And what can I say to Devman Tamang other than thank you for the experience.

Yes, the Himalayas are truly amazing scenery and the Nepal trekking experience is a beautiful cultural expedition for anyone who goes, but it was so much more than that. Devman was our companion, advisor and friend from the day before we left Kathmandu until after we returned 2 weeks later. He quietly and calmly goes about ensuring every little detail is in place to make your trip better. And when things out of our control went wrong (like flight delays) he knows exactly what to do but never, ever stops smiling or staying chill. Being with him just puts you at ease and within a couple of days my companions and I truly felt that we had an unfair advantage over all other trekkers.

The “Devman Advantage” really never ends. Ensuring we were fed first whenever we liked, advising us how to beat altitude sickness, avoiding unnecessary lineups, knowing when and how to pass yak trains – these were the things that saved us time and trouble. You can see how Devman is known and respected by many of the locals and other guides and he did his best to provide us with certain benefits while having a positive impact on everyone we met. His specialty seemed to be making sure we had the most amazing views at every possible opportunity. He knows exactly when to get up early, when not to bother, and when to go for the summit of a local viewpoint to beat the crowds and the clouds. But beyond this I feel honored that Devman chose to share and explain the Buddhist culture and beliefs that alone would make this region of Nepal worth visiting. As he explained, we did our best follow all the proper rituals and customs to ensure we always had good karma. At sites like the Tengboche Monastery, Devman showed us how to enjoy the monk’s chanting ceremony with the proper respect that all westerners should learn. Life changing experiences here, and Devman was always ready to share them with us.

I also want to give a big thank you to our porters Hom and Abishek. Porters in Nepal perform a critical, often thankless job and without them we probably wouldn’t have been smiling nearly so much in our photos. Before working as a guide, Devman grew up in a small Nepali village started out as a porter himself, and he clearly understands the difficulties and rewards of this career choice. Much respect to the porters!!!

There’s not much else I can say. A truly successful trip made even better by our guide Devman. It was very hard to say goodbye to you, brother! You are welcome in Canada any time!! When I come back to Nepal I’m bringing more friends and asking Devman to be our guide, friend and travel companion. My friends will thank me for it.

Book with Access Nepal tour and you will be the luckiest in the mountains!
Sep 2016 • Family
In so many aspects Access Nepal tour has impress us and go beyong our expectations!!

The lodges during the treck are superb, the food during the treck is excellent, the service that the whole team has provided from the first email to the farewell diner (and even after) was one of a kind.

they, Sadhana, Deepock, Santosh and the sherpas, Indre and Bikash, have been like a little family for 2 weeks, taking care of all our needs and allowing us to go to a place so wonderfull but so harsh if you try to go there alone. The views are fantastic and the pain of the mountain is very well worth the sightseeing of this trip!!

It was the best money I have invested in my current trip of 7 months around the world!! Everest will impress you!

In March 2018 I trekked the Annapurna Sanctuary with Access Nepal Tours. What an incredible, memorable and spectacular trek! I was completely blown away with the beautiful ever-changing scenery we saw each day. I was very surprised by the yummy food and the accommodation/facilities were much better than I ever thought.

Our knowledgeable guide Devman is a legend!! As soon as we met him we knew we were in good hands. He took such good care of everyone on the trek and no question or request was too much to ask. The porters were also very helpful and kind.

The tour company was excellent and promptly responded to all our email enquiries.
I highly recommend this tour company as it was very well organized and we honestly had no issues at all. I think this tour company is great value for money.

Annapurna Circuit Trek
Sep 2018 • Solo
I made the Annapurna Circuit Trek with Access Nepal Company.
Before, during and after the end of the tour, Sadhana and my guide Puru were always looking out for me and providing anything I needed.
If you like adventure and nature, Nepal is definitely the perfect place to visit. I do not think there is another place in the world that exhibits so much diversity in a single place.
Nepal is extraordinary because of the contrasts of vegetation, climates, cultures, architecture, landscape, etc. It is a country in love with variety.
I highly recommend going to the Himalayas with Access Nepal by their professionalism and by their budgets.
Going to the Himalayas is no picnic.
First of all because if you have to carry your rucksack, you will not be able to enjoy it so much, if you don’t have that challenge and have also not trained (something that not many people have the opportunity to do altitude) so you can find yourself in an awkward situation.
Secondly, altitude sickness. You don’t know how your body is going to react, therefore better to be with someone who knows and supports you in case you need it.
The rest of the reasons can be cultural because co reps can tell you about history, gastronomy, geography, etc.

But in general, all of Nepal is an adventure, from when you put a foot outside the airport… Good Heavens!!! How the Nepalese drive, it seems that there are no traffic rules (I saw in a small roundabout a dummy dressed as a policeman. It doesn’t matter if you want to overtake in the middle of a bend) But it is true that the Nepalese never get angry or take offence on the road.

Something that I didn’t know and surprised me was the different climates. Under 2000 m the climate is subtropical, hot and muggy, and the vegetation is like in a jungle. Between 2000 and 3500 m it is temperate and forested. Above 3500 m is considered high mountain, and the climate can be extreme at any time… After Thorang La Pass the landscape was high desert but with magnificent views.

We trekked 15 days… and when I finished I couldn’t believe that more than two weeks had passed, it really was like a movie in which we did not have time to realize everything we were living.
Thanks to Sadhana, Puru and Dipok…

EBC Trek & Kala Patthar (via Gokyo)
Apr 2017 • Friends
Apr 10 – apr 21 – 2017. Me and my dad booked the Gokyo trekking with Access Nepal mainly because they included quite much in their price which compared to other agencies were really good. The agency replies fast on your mail queries and we had no problems what so ever with updating each other. Arriving to Kathmandu they picked you up at the airport and we met our trekking guide there, his name is Dinpendra. He took care of us from day one and made sure we got installed properly at the hotel. Next day we had a tourist attraction tour in Kathmandu, lots to see and the guide was really good. At Namche (snowed) our guide informed us that in our group of 4 people, 2 will most probably not make it to EBC with planned route, the Cho La Pass glacier would be to tough. He switched the trekking to EBC first, then if we made it we would try to go to Gokyo if the weather would allow. This was a very good decision!! The tea houses we got were very good, they provided us shower when possible. The food in the guesthouses were actually far better than I expected, much to choose from. Unfortunately I lost my appetite, but I’m glad that was the only high altitude issue I got :). Our porters Dipak and Netra (1 on 2 persons) were amazing, they were very humble and helped you with anything, they even tracked down my fathers cap that blew away! It is grey colour and just melted in with the rocks, but they found it far away, truly amazing. After the EBC visit, on the way back my father had heart problem, our guide Dinpendra were very professional and eventually we got Heli rescue help. Very sad to end the trip like that, however I’m glad the guide changed the route so we made our goal to reach EBC (and Kala Patthar). We had very nice sunny weather almost every day and the trekking path was not so full of other trekkers that it became annoying. The nature and trekking path is changing a lot, from big rock boulders to messy clay. I highly recommend the Access Nepal agency for your adventure in Nepal, if I would go back I would choose them again.

We have been trekking with Devman Tamang in the Area of Mustang and our Porter Gobal for several days. The planing of Rahul Naxiring Rai was just perfect and Devman adopted the program accordingly to our needs. We would anytime go again with Access Nepal Tours & Trekking onto a tour. We have been hosted very well and enjoyed every minute in the beautiful area of Mustang.

The visa fees are: USD 30 for 15 days, USD 50 for 30 days, and USD 125 for 90 days. Please note that your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date you initially intended to stay in Nepal.

The best time to visit Nepal really depends on what you want to do. For trekking, the autumn months (September to November) are the best seasons. You get clear skies and pleasant conditions.

Spring (March to May) is another good season for trekking with its moderate temperatures and the greenery that envelops the hills.

Winter (December to February) and Monsoon (June to August) are less popular due to these being less convenient on the trails but they are suitable for lower-altitude tours and city sightseeing.

Please share your proof of valid travel insurance before you can join any trek or tour. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance before arriving in Nepal.

We have trips from shorter and more accessible treks to premium and luxury Himalayan experiences, so there is no single price for trekking or traveling in Nepal.

Many of our trekking packages include all major trip components like accommodation, meals, guides and porters, transportation and the necessary permits–although specific inclusions vary by the itinerary.

Currently, we list the Everest Base Camp (14 days) package around USD 1,490, Annapurna Base Camp (11 days) around USD 1,090 and cultural tours and easier treks at lower prices.

Personal expenses, visas, travel insurance and tips are usually not included on the package pricing. Please contact us for a customised quote on these based on your preferences.
