ABC Trip: Access Nepal was Perfect!!
My wife and I had the vacation of our lives on our trek to ABC and this was partly due to the outstanding service of Access Nepal. From our initial contact with Sadhana last spring until our departure a few days ago, the service, thoughtfulness, attentiveness, and attention to detail was outstanding. For example, as soon as we walked out of the airport in Kathmandu, our guide met us and took care of all detail from then on through the rest of the trip.
It helped that the weather was perfect and we had no significant physical problems. I am 70 my wife is 67 so this was really significant. Our guide, Pershotam and porter, Milan were both professional, knowledgeable, upbeat, and very caring. Their command of English was quite adequate.
We have hiked a fair bit in the USA, Canada, France, Switzerland and Norway. The scenery in the Himalayas was of a scale we had never seen. These mountains are huge and severe because they are so new and uneroded.
The food was much better than we expected. We had a choice from a decent size menu at every meal. The cost of the trip was very reasonable and very competitive with other agencies we compared them to. It was particularly reasonable considering there were only two of us and we had our own guide and porter.
I strongly recommend both Access Nepal and the ABC trip.

EBC and KalaPathar trek (via Gokyo Ri)

My fiance and I just returned from our trek organised by Access Nepal. Overall, an great and amazing experience!

Access Nepal Tour company were great, everything was arranged and organised with excellent communication from Australia between Sadhana and myself since day 1. Money transfers, airport transfers, accommodation and tour ran smoothly, with out any glitches. Our tour guide Dipendra was very experienced (Tour guide of year by the way!), helpful, spoke excellent english and provided excellent attention to detail. He could read the trekkers body language from an early stage and provide helpful advice on how to handle and manage altitude sickness and also who made the right call at the right time on the way back to call for the helicopter rescue for one of our trekker.

Shout out to our porters Dipok and Nethra who were amazingly strong, very friendly, and love their nepalese card games “ten killer” which we religiously played most nights to kill time. They have it tough yet they always have a smile and joke around.

Our accomodation on the mountain was what you would expect. We actually had an ensuite for 3 of the first nights. Access Nepal provide excellent value for money when compared to other trekking companies we compared with online and also when talking to other groups on the mountain (often our tea house bedroom was better, always with an indoor toilet, we got fruit served with our dinner every night and a detailed briefing about our next day). All our food is included on the trek (you still order anything you like off the menu at the tea house and a cup of tea or coffee, just like other groups) and I think this is important because food on the mountain can be expensive especially as you get higher up the mountain.

All in all, Access Nepal is excellent value for money and a highly regarded company on my part. I would book a trip with them again and would highly recommend!

NB: Just a side note, I would suggest access nepal to modify their website information to reflect the correct level of physical intensity requirements and the dangers of some parts of the trek like Cho La Pass which is quite tough imo and the risk of not making it to EBC or KalaPathar at all if Cho La is closed/ blocked due to snow.

We did a 19 day trek/tour with Access Nepal in Oct/Nov of 2015. Found them on the web and was very impressed by their immediate contact with us. Keshav did a great job of organizing our demands and his team of guides and porters were spectacular. We did the Gokyo valley, Cho La pass, Everest Base camp loop which I highly recommend. It adds a few miles to the trek but has some awesome views and far less people. They also have a large list of other tours as well. I did Bardia and Chitwan National parks after the trek and once again was very pleased with Access Nepal’s attention to detail.

Fantastic trek to ABC with the best guide and porter!

I initially booked onto the ABC trek via an external company in the hope that more people would join on and we would be a large group. In the end, no one else signed up but the brilliant Purushottam (guide) and Madan (porter) were so kind, inclusive and fun that I never felt lonely as a solo traveller!

As soon as I arrived at the first hotel in Kathmandu, everything from Access Nepal was fantastic. You could tell it was important to Sadhana and Partap to make you feel comfortable with the plans and well prepared for your trip. They were such friendly faces to be welcomed by and made me feel so at ease and excited about what could be quite a daunting experience.

For the trek itself, I can’t stress how helpful it was to have such friendly and knowledgeable people as Purushottam and Madan by my side. Every time we turned up to the guest house, everything was all sorted and made it so easy to relax and just enjoy the trek. I always seemed to have the best room with the best views too which I was very happy about! The guys kept me laughing the whole way; teaching me Nepali words/phrases and trekking songs, informing me of different Nepali customs, and looking out for me when I felt ill/a little sore from all the exercise.

I have come away with great new friends and know I will be back for another trek with Access Nepal in the future! Thank you to all involved!

What an amazing adventure and incredible tour company. Access Nepal was very professional and put effort into every detail for our private tour. Zivan (guide) made sure we always had what we needed and was very friendly, playing cards with us and treating us to cookies every afternoon and fresh fruit every evening. Indra (porter) was there before we arrived each day and helped us so much with getting things settled. Sadhana runs the show behind the scenes and is very passionate about her company. She helped us so much with securing our lost luggage and was so sweet on the departure dinner, presenting us with the new Access Nepal T-shirt.

Thanks for an amazing and unforgettable time!!!!!

This was truly a life changing…
This was truly a life changing experience. It started with the amazing trek where we were well taken care of and informed by our guide Puru. He made sure we were safe from the beginning to the end. On the final day of the trek we had a ring ceremony amongst the Himalayas. When Zac and I returned to Kathmandu we had a wedding that was made possible by Sadhana and the team at Access Nepal. They made sure the day was so special for us and they thought of so many little details. It was so memorable and so special to be able to share this day.
Definitely recommend for anyone who wants to trek and have such a truly unique experience.
