One word, incredible. Amazing experience hiking Base Camp.

This tour trekking to Everest Base camp was absolutely amazing! Our guide Jivan and porter were super friendly and very very experienced. We didn’t have to worry about the logistics day-to-day it was all taken care of by Jivan and Access Nepal. It made it enjoyable that we knew we were in good care and enabled us to focus on the incredible scenery and surviving the long hikes each day. Each day we would hike anywhere between 4-10hours on and off. Around 20-30,000 steps a day however at quite a slow pace to avoid altitude side effects. Recommend taking the Dimmox, there’s alternatives but when you up there you will want to increase your chances of succeeding. We started taking Dimmox from Namche on wards no need to take earlier. Expect delays flying from Kathmandu to Lukla, it took us a couple days and multiple heli flights to get to the start point of the trek. Weather moves insanely fast up there. One minute will be clear next your in the clouds. This may mean that you will combine days to finish the tour on time. Food was fantastic, I eat a lot and there was plenty of it! Only advice is to avoid eating meat, not worth the risk of stomach issues. Overall the trip was tough but absolutely worth it! Highly recommend Access Nepal to help you do this.

EBC Trek – Oct 2019

We had the best time in Nepal e and the best structure thanks to Access Nepal. From the day we arrived in Katmandu they sent someone to pick us up at the airport and drop us at the hotel ( which by the way was great). At night we had a welcome dinner with Nepalese food and dance. The next day was a free day that we went to the temples in Katmandu. The day of our flight to Lukla, they help us we tips of to take and drove us to the airport and help us with everything.

And so the trek began, our excellent guide met us at the Lukla airport and was the best ever. Him and the porters really helped us with everything. From tips on how to be successful on the trek, on reminding us to drink A LOT OF WATER, and always asked if we were ok. Always explained the day before how it would be the trek of the day next. And when we arrived at the base camp, I felt altitude sickness and they really gave all the structure. Sadhana in Katmandu help to schedule the rescue with heli, and the guide made sure I was ok. They were really helpful, I got to the help I needed in time.

And when we were back in Katmandu, we had a great farewell dinner provide by they. And the next day got us to the airport in time.

I really recommend they if you are planning to visit Nepal, they did a excellent job and I will come back to do more treks with they.

Absolutely life changing experience from the day we arrived untill the day we left our tour manager (sadhana) very helpful sorting out everything and excellent help when dealing with some medical issues and our tour guides subodh and yashawant were great craic and knew the landscape well telling us information from name of all the peaks to the history behind some of the places along the way. If i ever go again i will be travelling with access nepal a company from nepal itself hopefully we meet again. Also cant forget the porters a great bunch of people.

First contacted by email, booking process deposit by card and cash on arrival, met by Sandanha at the hotel first night, welcome meal with rest of group in trek, met our amazing guide! Giri cant thank him enough for everything, he looked after us the whole time, meals were provided in tea rooms, loved the hot drinks provided, a must on cold days. Accommodation basic but perfect during our trek, food was amazing. The porters Indra and Tika ! Have superpowers! Kind, and so helpful! I recommend you book through this company for any trek/tour its a once in a lifetime. We also had a lovely meal with Sandanha and the team in Katmamdhu. I used access nepal for a trek to Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar. Subodh was an excellent guide and made the trip very easy for us. He allowed us to be flexible with our changing plans during the hike and was able to make adjustments to reservations and make sure everything was set up and ready for the next day.

The whole trip was great, even when they found out we were going to be late to Luklu they chartered a helicopter to get us there to begin our trip. Dave was excellent, insightful, funny and a pleasure to be around. You do lose your appetite when you are up high but bring a little extra cash for the mars bars. They help!
