Excellent, knowledgeable tour guides who speak English extremely well

We went on two different day tours around Kathmandu with Access Nepal, and both were great. The best was the tour of Patan and Bhaktapur, mainly because we saw so many different sights that day. Tour the museum as well, even though it’s an extra charge, though not much, as I recall. Both our guides spoke English very well and were quite forthcoming about the history and customs of Hindus in Nepal. They were both friendly and talkative. Sadhana will also customize a trip for you if you like.

Everest Base Camp Trek

We have just returned from a fabulous two week trek to EBC. Our party consisted of myself male aged 55, my son aged 30 and daughter aged 28.

We booked our trip through Access Nepal and have no regrets with using this company. I first contacted the company in March this year to make enquiries and I dealt with a very nice and efficient lady named Sadhana. As our preparations progressed all of our questions and queries were dealt with very promptly and efficiently.

A twenty per cent deposit was paid by bank transfer in US Dollars,with the outstanding balance due upon arrival in Kathmandu. The only minor problem being we were stung by the dollar exchange rate post “Brexit”!!

Our guide met us at the airport and The Blue Horizon hotel in Kathmandu was very acceptable. We had booked an extra day before trekking in Kath to relax after our flights, possibly a good idea if you have a long journey.

Unfortunately we were unable to fly out of Lukkla due to the weather but managed to get out early the next day, I would certainly recommend having at least one spare day at the end of the trek to allow for this possible problem.

Our guide was a young Nepali named Tez. He was very attentive to our needs and very patient, looking after us at meal times and whilst in our accommodation as well as whilst out on the trail. When my daughter was suffering from AMS and felt that she could not walk that day Tez dealt with the issue and ensured that she was looked after at the lodge,whilst my son and I trekked to Kalpathar and back before we all descended to a lower level for the night.

Upon our return to Kath Sadhana took us out for a meal with a couple of other groups to a nice outdoor restaurant in the city. She also spent time talking with us to ensure that they had done all they could to make our trip as enjoyable as possible

To conclude I would not hesitate to use Access Nepal again or to recommend them to others. There price was reasonable, their communications were good and whilst in the country they were willing to make the extra effort to ensure that your trip goes as smoothly as possible.

Completed Oct-Nov/2019 Trekking to Everest Base Camp via Gokyo. It was an amazing experience to be part of this adventure! Access Nepal was very competent in managing my entire trip. We even had a one-way flight cancellation to Lukla and the agency quickly managed to upgrade to fly by helicopter. The guide Jivan is very knowledgeable, knows the area in depth and was very patient with us even when I felt bad about altitude. Stayed 19 days in Nepal and highly recommend trekking and sightseeing with Access Nepal!

Access Nepal did a great job in helping us to complete the Everest Base Trek. I became unwell towards the end and our guide (Ganesh) helped me through. Sadhana from the company was creating arranging helicopter evacuation. Totally recommend.

Fantastic Trekking with Access Nepal

My lovely Friend and I completed in March the Everest base camp and Kala Patthar trek with Access Nepal . Incredible experience that I highly recommend to everyone. Sadhana our main contact was very helpful and quick to respond to our emails and our lot’s of question :).she gave us lot’s of advice and tips for our trek .Our amazing tour guide Dipendra made our tour very fun and enjoyable . I especially like to thank him for taking care and looking after me throughout the trek . I had altitude sickness almost every day and with out him i wouldn’t be able complete my trek but with his many years experience and advice , knowledge , patience , and kindnesses I did it !.
