All the trek highlights of Annapurna Circuit Trek, plus the higher degree of alpine adventure to the summit of Nepal’s one of the most popular climbing peaks- Pisang Peak Climbing 6091m.
One of the easy climbing peaks in Nepal, Pisang Peak soars up to the elevation of 6091m. The peak stands at the backdrop of Pisang Village of Annapurna Region. Climbing Pisang Peak is basically a higher degree of adventurous break to the world’s most popular trek Annapurna Circuit. The trek begins at Besisahar, the trek starting point of the Annapurna Circuit Trek. Treading along the trail of Annapurna Circuit, trekkers arrive at Pisang. Here onwards, the adventure of climbing Pisang Peak leaves the trail of Annapurna Circuit Trek and heads towards the base camp of Pisang Peak. The Base Camp of Pisang Peak is set at Kharka 4385m.
Climbing along the south-west ridge of the peak we get to the elevation of 5400m, where we set the High Camp of the Pisang Peak Climbing Escapade. Conquering the peak is not a tough challenge though the final section of the summit is the snowy slope, which is quite vertical. After the summit, we climb down to the Base Camp via the same route. After the summit, the trek once again follows the trail of Annapurna Circuit via challenging Thorung La Pass to Muktinath before the climbers drive out of the mountains to Pokhara from Muktinath.
The trail to Pisang Peak indeed caters to the extraordinary views of landscapes dominated by Marsyangdi Valley and Manaslu Himal. The authentic culture of ethnical tribes of the region overspills in frequent villages that emerge during the trek. The floral and faunal biodiversity of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project is worthwhile observing. Moreover, the view of peaks from Pisang summit includes Annapurna South Tilicho Peak, Annapurna II, and IV, Ghangapurna, and the Glacier Dome among others, which is truly fascinating.
The climber needs to be physically fit and able to endure the elevation issues needed to climb Pisang Peak. A bit of alpine skills is necessary. Working out for fitness three to six months prior to the adventure is recommended.
Pisang Peak Climbing Trip Highlights
- Conquer Pisang Peak, a thrilling adventure in the Annapurna region.
- Enjoy breathtaking Himalayan views, including Annapurna II and IV.
- Explore the rich Manang Valley and its unique culture.

02 Sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley (1400m) and Trek preparation day
Kathmandu is the main cultural hub of Nepal. A city of temples and monasteries not only holds the nation’s most religious shrines, it is also a sacred valley where the living Gods and Goddess live with the mortals to date. Today you will have a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu with the best tourist guide of the town. After breakfast, we will escort you to Pashupatinath- the largest Hindu Temple in Nepal in a private vehicle. The temple dedicated to the supreme Hindu God, Shiva banks the Bagmati River. At Pashupatinath you will get to see exceptionally carved statues and idols of Hindu deities, a long row of Shiva Lings, a series of small temples, and the golden hood at the top of the main Temple is truly fascinating. Moreover, an opportunity to witness the Hindu Death ritual at Aryaghat Pashupatinath is an offbeat cultural experience. After the exploration of Pashupatinath, we will walk along the busy streets of Kathmandu to Boudhanath. A large domed-shaped Buddhist stupa, Boudhanath holds huge religious significance among the Tibetan Buddhists of Nepal. A major shrine on the ancient Indo-China trade route Boudhanath offered blessings to traders and scholars for a safe journey through the high Himalayan passes to Tibet. Saffron-robed monks circumambulating Boudhanath, colorful prayer flags touching the skyline from the dome pinnacle to the base of a large monument, and the outlets selling Tibetan souvenirs make this place a true Tibet outside Tibet. Post lunch the sightseeing tour continues to Kathmandu Durbar Square. The exemplary wooden and stone craftsmanship at the site makes the place a prominent attraction for tourists. The stone-paved streets, pagoda pagoda-style religious monuments inclusive of different Hindu deities are the cultural delights of ancient and medieval Nepal at Kathmandu Durbar Square. Today’s final destination for a sightseeing tour in Kathmandu takes you to Swayambhunath. A self-emerged Buddhist stupa lies on a hilltop overlooking Kathmandu with its watchful eyes. You will get to experience more about Tibetan Buddhism at Swayambhunath. After the full-day sightseeing tour, a private vehicle will escort you to your hotel.
