Great, well organised local company that go the extra mile to make your trip throughly enjoyable and stress free.We just returned from the Everest Circuit (Everest Base Camp & Gokyo Lakes) with Ganesh and Kamel. The guide and porter were both very friendly and the trip wouldn’t have been the same without them. We will miss them!
Before the trek Sadhana was very helpful answering all of our questions. Next time I come trekking in Nepal I will definitely do it through Access Nepal – thank you and keep in touch!

Highly recommend Access Nepal Tour & Trekking: two of us did the 14 day EBC trek in April 2018 and it was an excellent experience. I did the EBC 40 years ago and this was a great redux. Ms. SADHAHA ADHIKARI was our initial contact through he reservation process and the initial meeting in Kathmandu. She was great-handled details and questions quickly and to our satisfaction. Our guide DEVMAN TAMANG really made the trek excellent. He was personable (which is nice on a 14 day adventure), had great insight, contacts and top notch navigation skills (the geography, tea houses, routes, remedies for assorted maladies etc.)
He made it a priority that we attained our goal of reaching EBC, getting through some rough spots and tough terrain.
Be sure to tip the guide and the porter: even though they are compensated by the company, they depend on tips as part of their overall comp (think restaurants in the US.) They worked their tails off in so many ways and since the cost of the trek was very reasonable, adding a generous tip still kept the cost of the trek fair and made a big difference to them.
This was a great trip, loved Nepal and thought ACCESS NEPAL TOUR & TREKKING was an excellent firm to work with. Can’t wait to go back for another trek. (With Dev as guide, of course!)jborn329 USA

I couldnt rave more about Access Nepal and the whole team that works there. Firstly, our guide manager, Pratap, was very well spoken, communicated efficiently and effectively, and was a pleasure to work with from the outset.
The tour itself, Three High Passes + EBC, was planned perfectly with incredible guides, porters and accommodation. Our guide, Subodh, his assistant guide/porter Netra, and the 2 porters were absolutely outstanding the whole journey. They were respectful, fun to be around, and very attentive to our needs. Honestly, at almost no point in the trip did we have to worry about the trip itself, allowing us to focus on trekking and our health. This was particularly valuable when I heard of horror stories from fellow tourists with other companies.Ace job Access Nepal team!

Yes, international travelers do need a tourist visa for Nepal. Indian nationals are the only exceptions here.
Tourist visas are available on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. You can also get them through Nepali embassies or consulates before you travel.
The visa fees are: USD 30 for 15 days, USD 50 for 30 days, and USD 125 for 90 days. Please note that your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date you initially intended to stay in Nepal.
Children below the age of ten years get their visas free of cost, which means they also need a valid passport.
The one exception here are children with U.S. passports who have to pay regular adult visa prices because of the reciprocal fee rules between Nepal and the U.S.
The best time to visit Nepal really depends on what you want to do. For trekking, the autumn months (September to November) are the best seasons. You get clear skies and pleasant conditions.
Spring (March to May) is another good season for trekking with its moderate temperatures and the greenery that envelops the hills.
Winter (December to February) and Monsoon (June to August) are less popular due to these being less convenient on the trails but they are suitable for lower-altitude tours and city sightseeing.
Yes, generally Nepal is a safe and welcoming country for travelers.
The one thing you have to remember while trekking and travelling in the mountains is that you have to follow your guide’s advice on pacing and acclimatisation to be safe in regards to your health.

Yes travel insurance is required for trekking in Nepal. Please get an insurance that is comprehensive and covers everything including high-altitude trekking, emergency medical treatment and helicopter evacuation.

Yes, Nepal has many treks suitable for beginners, including Ghorepani Poon Hill and Langtang Valley.

Currently, we list the Everest Base Camp (14 days) package around USD 1,490, Annapurna Base Camp (11 days) around USD 1,090 and cultural tours and easier treks at lower prices.
