What a fantastic experience we had trecking to the Annapurna base camp!
Access Nepal were brilliant
Being the wrong side of 50 I was a little concerned about my ability to last this treck but with the incredible support of our wonderful guide Girri and our superhero porters Keshab and Depac I blitzed it. They were always there to provide support, encouragement and humour. Girri attended to our every need leaving me to concentrate on the walking and the enjoyment of the amazing scenery and experiences, he was totally in tune with our needs and more than once lightened my load by taking my day pack.
Thanks to the very professional and friendly administration staff who patiently communicated with us for years before we bit the bullet and booked.
Thanks Girru, Keshab and Depac. You will always be my Nepali family

An amazing trekking

I had one of my greatest experiences of my life in Everest base camp trekking.
I highly recommend Access Nepal Tour for it. The guide, Jovan, was helpful and funny, asking all the time if we were fine or needed something.
Both porters were also really professional and kind.
The only thing I would have change was the duration of the trekking. 8 days are perfect to reach the Everest base Camp but the agency should consider make the way back in 4 days, instead of 3. It seems to me a better option if you want to enjoy the return to Lukla.

EBC and KalaPathar trek (via Gokyo Ri)

My fiance and I just returned from our trek organised by Access Nepal. Overall, an great and amazing experience!

Access Nepal Tour company were great, everything was arranged and organised with excellent communication from Australia between Sadhana and myself since day 1. Money transfers, airport transfers, accommodation and tour ran smoothly, with out any glitches. Our tour guide Dipendra was very experienced (Tour guide of year by the way!), helpful, spoke excellent english and provided excellent attention to detail. He could read the trekkers body language from an early stage and provide helpful advice on how to handle and manage altitude sickness and also who made the right call at the right time on the way back to call for the helicopter rescue for one of our trekker.

Shout out to our porters Dipok and Nethra who were amazingly strong, very friendly, and love their nepalese card games “ten killer” which we religiously played most nights to kill time. They have it tough yet they always have a smile and joke around.

Our accomodation on the mountain was what you would expect. We actually had an ensuite for 3 of the first nights. Access Nepal provide excellent value for money when compared to other trekking companies we compared with online and also when talking to other groups on the mountain (often our tea house bedroom was better, always with an indoor toilet, we got fruit served with our dinner every night and a detailed briefing about our next day). All our food is included on the trek (you still order anything you like off the menu at the tea house and a cup of tea or coffee, just like other groups) and I think this is important because food on the mountain can be expensive especially as you get higher up the mountain.

All in all, Access Nepal is excellent value for money and a highly regarded company on my part. I would book a trip with them again and would highly recommend!

NB: Just a side note, I would suggest access nepal to modify their website information to reflect the correct level of physical intensity requirements and the dangers of some parts of the trek like Cho La Pass which is quite tough imo and the risk of not making it to EBC or KalaPathar at all if Cho La is closed/ blocked due to snow.

Me, my husband and 2 other friends had amazing 17 day trek to EBC, Gokyo Ri via Chola pass in April-May 2024 through Access Nepal. Sadhana was very helpful with smoothly organising all our trek itinerary from day 1 to the end. She kept us motivated and encouraged us to be positive which helped us in accomplishing our dream trek. We heartily thank Sadhana and Access Nepal for their great service.

Our guide Subodh Tamang was incredibly helpful, supportive and had local knowledge and was well known in every tea house which made us feel comfortable and enjoy the stay. Thank you Subodh bhai!!
Also, 2 incredible porters Padam and Birkha were so kind and lots of fun to trek with, we enjoyed walking together as a group and we felt like a family at the end.

We would highly recommend Access Nepal and would like to thank Shadhana and Subodh for their incredible service and making our trek a wonderful lifetime experience! Thank you!!🙏

An amazing trek.

An incredible experience. From Chame to Muktinath and from Tatopani to Poon Hill. An adventure among epic landscapes, discovering mountains, valleys and mountain ranges that leave you speechless and with the help of a top-level professional team with whom we were unanimously delighted. Stays, transportation, medical care, guide, luggage… whatever you want, everything impeccably organized and with the most kind and friendly treatment, a colossal job by people who make you feel at home even in the shelter more isolated and above all, it knows very well how to do high mountains and adapt to the needs of each member of the expedition. Our thirty people in number and the logistics that entailed were no match for the experience, skill and tremendous effort of Devman and his wonderful team.
The visits to Pokhara, Chitwan and Khatmandu were very fun and the historical places of the capital were especially exciting. And its bars.

EBC with Access Nepal – September 2017

I had the pleasure of trekking with Access Nepal to Mt. Everest Base Camp in September 2017. There are a lot of companies out there offering trekking opportunities to EBC. I selected Access Nepal based on Trip Advisor reviews and I was not disappointed. From the planning stages to my orientation meeting in Kathmandu, my trek coordinator, Sadhana, was always available to answer my questions. She was very helpful and prompt; always getting back to me with answers the next day.
Our trek was expertly guided by Jivan. He always kept a watchful eye on us with primary concern for our health, safety and comfort. Every night he laid out the plan for the next day so we knew what to expect and how to prepare. He was also available to us 24 hours a day. Luckily we never had to call on him in the middle of the night although we knew where to find him if we needed him.
We were also aided on our trek by our porter Dipak who was always there with a smile despite the difficulty of his task. We even enjoyed his company on our acclimatization days when he could have very easily had the day off.
Every day on our trek we were met with soaring, snow-capped mountains, desolate glaciers, towering waterfalls, deep gorges, and rushing rivers. But most compelling to me was the soaring spirit, towering strength and deep work ethic of the Nepali people. Living in harsh conditions in remote, seemingly unreachable places, they are the hardest working people I have ever seen. Theirs is a difficult life. As Jivan put it: “A Nepali Life”. Both Jivan and Dipak exemplified the “Nepali Life” and it was my pleasure trekking with them.
