Amazing trek with amazing people
Dec 2016 • Friends
Access Nepal provided my friend and I with an unreal trekking experience. Our itinerary was so organised and professional and allowed us to do some well needed sightseeing in Nepal before we jetted off for our trek. Every nights accommodation that was provided for us during the itinerary was phenomenal (particularly when we were actually doing the ABC trek). Before we commenced the trek we had enough time to do some of our own exploring around Kathmandu and Pokhara and same goes for after we had finished trekking which was really relaxing and ideal for us as tourists! On the actual trek, we had the best guide and porter we could’ve asked for. Sher, our guide was so energetic and fun each and every day, helpful us get through the tougher parts of the trek with ease and many laughs! He was also very knowledgable about the places we were visited and the surrounding landscapes. Ramesh, our porter, was so patient and kind with us and we were so lucky to have had him to help us carry majority of our luggage the entire time! We finished our trek with so many new friends. Sadhana, the lady who organised our itinerary, was so helpful and kind towards us; she took us out for tea and dinner a couple of times just to get to know us well and to recap our trekking journey which was really lovely. She helped us send our hiking gear home and was just very hospitable the entire time. It was so nice to experience a trekking company that put so much effort into getting to know you and become good friends with you. The communication between Sadhana and us was so punctual and professional and easy to follow that it made our trip so relaxed and enjoyable. Seriously rate Access Nepal so highly after having such an incredible experience with them! Thank you!!

We went on a 14 day ebc trek with access Nepal. The experience was amazing. Our guide, Ganesh was wonderful and you could tell he genuinely cared for our health and safety during the trek. The company was very professional and answered all our questions before we booked. They were very accommodating. All the tea houses we stayed at were clean and as comfortable as can be when you’re 4000m+. I would recommend this company and Ganesh to everyone.

I have completed the trek to Everest Base Camp(EBC)with Access Nepal Tours. The whole trip right from picking me from the Kathmandu airport was very well planned and professionally organized. As I am not a professional high altitude trekker, there were so many times during the trek I needed extra physical and mental support. The guide that came along with our group (Subodh) was always there for me during the entire trek. He even helped me to visit a local doctor at Namche for a check up as I was not feeling well. Luckily, everything worked out fine for me. The porters that were provided to us were also amazing bunch of guys. Always there to help you in whatever way they can so that we could complete the hike. Without the help and support of our guide and porter, I would not have completed my trek. I am very happy with all the professional service that was provided by Sadhana Adhikari and her team. They really go the extra mile to ensure that you are well supported during the trek. I would not hesitate to recommend Access Nepal tours for all the trekking tours in Nepal. I would definitely be availing their services for all my future trekking trips in Nepal. They are just outstanding!

Everest Base Camp Trek
Oct 2016 • Family
We have just returned from a fabulous two week trek to EBC. Our party consisted of myself male aged 55, my son aged 30 and daughter aged 28.

We booked our trip through Access Nepal and have no regrets with using this company. I first contacted the company in March this year to make enquiries and I dealt with a very nice and efficient lady named Sadhana. As our preparations progressed all of our questions and queries were dealt with very promptly and efficiently.

A twenty per cent deposit was paid by bank transfer in US Dollars, with the outstanding balance due upon arrival in Kathmandu. The only minor problem being we were stung by the dollar exchange rate post “Brexit”!!

Our guide met us at the airport and The Blue Horizon hotel in Kathmandu was very acceptable. We had booked an extra day before trekking in Kath to relax after our flights, possibly a good idea if you have a long journey.

Unfortunately we were unable to fly out of Lukkla due to the weather but managed to get out early the next day, I would certainly recommend having at least one spare day at the end of the trek to allow for this possible problem.

Our guide was a young Nepali named Tez. He was very attentive to our needs and very patient, looking after us at meal times and whilst in our accommodation as well as whilst out on the trail. When my daughter was suffering from AMS and felt that she could not walk that day Tez dealt with the issue and ensured that she was looked after at the lodge, whilst my son and I trekked to Kalpathar and back before we all descended to a lower level for the night.

Upon our return to Kath Sadhana took us out for a meal with a couple of other groups to a nice outdoor restaurant in the city. She also spent time talking with us to ensure that they had done all they could to make our trip as enjoyable as possible

To conclude I would not hesitate to use Access Nepal again or to recommend them to others. There price was reasonable, their communications were good and whilst in the country they were willing to make the extra effort to ensure that your trip goes as smoothly as possible.

Totally professional . Highly reccoend
May 2014 • Friends
Having studied the attractions outside of Kathmandu , I decided I wanted to visit Bhaktapur and Patan . Not as separate day trips as normally offered but in a single day . My initial inquiry was answered promptly and professionally as were the questions that followed.
Nothing was too much trouble and everything was laid out and pricing clear .
I had read of the various fees associated with the attractions and asked for these to be included. These were set out separately as was the extra cost for me to be dropped at Nagarkot at the end of the day .

The prices were very reasonable and when a friend asked to join me after I had booked , the price of tour excluding attraction fees was simply split .

The lady I dealt with Sadhana Adhikari was most impressive . At the commencement of the tour she came to the hotel and introduced the guide and the driver and restated the itinerary so there could be no misunderstanding . She also gave each of us a quality company tee shirt .
The vehicle was first class and roomy and the driver was skilled and responsible . He had the vehicle waiting and cool whenever needed.
The guide was very informative and sensitive to our needs. He took us to to two villages not on the itinerary which were not commonly visited and they were fascinating
I could not fault the day . They have a wide range of trips and I would use them without hesitation next time I visit Nepal

She was very professional and efficient as well. Everything was organised that is why our experience was one of a kind. Our guide, Mr. Giri, was professional as well and looked out for our safety. He made sure that pur stay in the lodge/tea houses was memorable and convenient. He is very good at what he is doing. Everyone in Access Nepal did such a great job!!! Thank you so much!

Yes, international travelers do need a tourist visa for Nepal. Indian nationals are the only exceptions here.

Tourist visas are available on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. You can also get them through Nepali embassies or consulates before you travel.

The visa fees are: USD 30 for 15 days, USD 50 for 30 days, and USD 125 for 90 days. Please note that your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date you initially intended to stay in Nepal.

Children below the age of ten years get their visas free of cost, which means they also need a valid passport.

The one exception here are children with U.S. passports who have to pay regular adult visa prices because of the reciprocal fee rules between Nepal and the U.S.

The best time to visit Nepal really depends on what you want to do. For trekking, the autumn months (September to November) are the best seasons. You get clear skies and pleasant conditions.

Spring (March to May) is another good season for trekking with its moderate temperatures and the greenery that envelops the hills.

Winter (December to February) and Monsoon (June to August) are less popular due to these being less convenient on the trails but they are suitable for lower-altitude tours and city sightseeing.

Yes, generally Nepal is a safe and welcoming country for travelers.

The one thing you have to remember while trekking and travelling in the mountains is that you have to follow your guide’s advice on pacing and acclimatisation to be safe in regards to your health.

As a female led team, we understand how to make all our travellers comfortable and safe during the trek. Please share how you are feeling while on the road with your guides honestly and we will solve it for you.

Yes travel insurance is required for trekking in Nepal. Please get an insurance that is comprehensive and covers everything including high-altitude trekking, emergency medical treatment and helicopter evacuation.

While we do our best to ensure your safety during the trek, you never know what situation may arise. A complete insurance allows us to take the best step for your safety.

Please share your proof of valid travel insurance before you can join any trek or tour. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance before arriving in Nepal.

So, based on our self-preparation, beginners can choose an itinerary that matches their fitness levels, experience, available time, and comfort level.

If you are confused about what is best for you, consult with us. We can help you pick the most fitting trek as per your interest.

The cost of travelling in Nepal varies depending on the destination, trek duration, group size, accommodation, transportation, season and level of service.

Personal expenses, visas, travel insurance and tips are usually not included on the package pricing. Please contact us for a customised quote on these based on your preferences.
