Overview

This isn’t just the kind of tired that a nap can fix. It’s the feeling where you wake up already wishing it was bedtime, and every phone notification makes your heart sink. You look at photos of white-sand beaches and think, “Nice, but I don’t think a beach chair is going to fix what’s actually wrong.”

If this sounds familiar, we get it.

The Problem Nobody Really Talks About

We all know the usual advice: sleep more, drink more water, meditate, take a day off, go for a walk. None of it is bad advice. But when stress has become part of your everyday life, a weekend away or a few quiet hours may not be enough to help you truly slow down.

That is why we created our Himalayan Yoga & Ayurveda Wellness Retreat—not simply as a holiday, but as dedicated time to step away from the noise, slow down, and reconnect.

This is not a resort vacation with a spa treatment added on. It is a slower, more intentional experience designed to help you breathe, rest, and reconnect through Ayurvedic wellness, yoga, pranayama, mindful movement, nourishing Sattvic meals, nature, and Himalayan stillness.

Your retreat begins in Kathmandu with visits to Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur Durbar Squares, followed by dedicated days at a peaceful Himalayan wellness setting. An Ayurvedic consultation helps guide your personalized wellness program, including appropriate therapies from options such as Abhyanga, Sirodhara, Kati Basti, Janu Basti, Nasya, and Patra Pinda Sweda.

Your days are deliberately unhurried: gentle morning and evening yoga, pranayama, Ayurvedic therapies, forest walks, sauna, sound healing, quiet time, and an evening around a Himalayan campfire.

This retreat is for anyone who feels physically or mentally exhausted and wants to step away from constant schedules, screens, and responsibilities. It is not an adventure trek or a packed sightseeing holiday. It is a chance to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and experience Nepal more quietly.

No pressure. No promises of a miracle cure. Just seven days of space, nature, traditional wellness practices, and time to breathe.

Welcome to the Himalayas. Welcome to a slower pace.

Who Is This Yoga Retreat For?

For burnt-out professionals and post-trek travelers who want real rest. Not a trek. Not a beach holiday. A slower way to reset in the Himalayas.

We’re going to be straight about it:

Yoga & Ayurveda Wellness Retreat is for you if:

You’re the person everyone else relies on, but you can’t remember the last time you truly slowed down for yourself. You’re constantly managing work, family, responsibilities, and messages, and a long weekend no longer feels like enough.

You may be completely new to yoga and Ayurveda or already have a regular practice and want to experience these traditions in Nepal, where they have deep cultural roots. You don’t need to be flexible, experienced, or particularly “spiritual.” You simply need to be willing to slow down and be present. Or, you simply feel that you’ve been running on empty and need some time away from the noise.

Or, if you are looking for time to rejuvenate yourself after the Everest Base Camp Trek or any adventure activities in Nepal, this package is for you (we can tailor-make as needed)

Yoga & Ayurveda Wellness Retreat probably isn’t for you if:

You’re looking only looking for high-altitude trekking, mountain climbing, or adventure. This is not that kind of Nepal experience. This retreat is intentionally slow, peaceful, and inward-facing.

You also may not enjoy it if you want every hour filled with activities and sightseeing. Apart from your Kathmandu heritage experiences, the retreat leaves plenty of unhurried time for yoga, Ayurvedic therapies, nature, rest, and simply doing less.

If slowing down sounds better than adding another thing to your schedule, you may be exactly who we created this retreat for.

Useful Information

A Quick Note From Access Nepal Tour and Trek

We’re a Nepal-based travel company, and we’ve been building trips through this country for years. We plan treks, cultural tours, and retreats like this one. We’re not a big faceless booking platform. We’re a team that actually knows these mountains, these doctors, these yoga teachers, personally.

A few practical things worth knowing, the kind of stuff that isn’t glamorous but genuinely helps.

Visa: Most visitors from the US, Canada, UK, Spain, and Brazil can get a Nepal visa on arrival at the airport. Bring a passport photo and some cash (US dollars work fine) just in case the card machine’s having a rough day, which, this being a small mountain nation, happens sometimes.

What to pack: Loose, comfortable clothing for yoga and therapy sessions. Nepal’s weather shifts a lot depending on season and altitude, so layers are your friend. A light jacket for the evenings at the resort, since it cools down once the sun drops behind the hills.

Fitness level: You don’t need to be a seasoned yogi or in peak physical shape. This retreat is built to meet you wherever you’re starting from. If you can walk comfortably and you’re open to trying something new, you’re good.

Health and medical history: If you’re managing any ongoing health conditions, let us know when you book, so the Ayurvedic doctor can prepare a plan that actually works with your situation instead of around it.

Group size: We keep groups small on purpose. This isn’t a fifty-person tour bus experience. It’s built to feel personal, because honestly, healing doesn’t happen well in a crowd.

Connectivity: Wifi is available at the resort, but we’d gently encourage you to use it sparingly. Half the point of this week is giving your brain a break from constant notifications. Consider setting an out-of-office reply before you land then future-you will thank present-you.

Is There a Best Time to Book Yoga & Ayurveda Wellness Retreat?

Yoga & Ayurveda Wellness Retreat runs all year, so there’s no single “correct” month to go.

It depends on what kind of week you’re hoping for. Autumn, roughly September through November, tends to bring clear skies and crisp air, which makes the Himalayan views from Chandragiri Hills especially striking.

Spring, around March to May, brings warmer days and blooming rhododendrons across the hills, which is a genuinely beautiful backdrop for outdoor yoga sessions. Winter months are quieter and cooler, which some guests actually prefer, since there’s something fitting about doing deep inner work while it’s calm and still outside.

Summer brings Nepal’s monsoon season, with more rain, but the resort’s forest setting turns lush and green, and the sessions continue rain or shine, since most of what you’re doing happens indoors or under cover anyway.

Here’s the honest truth, though: the “best” time to book this retreat is whenever you actually need it. If you’re the kind of person who tells yourself you’ll rest “once things calm down at work,” we hate to break it to you, but that month rarely actually arrives on its own.

At Access Nepal Tour and Trek, we’ve had guests book this trip during their busiest quarter, specifically because that’s when they needed it most, not despite it.

Who is this Yoga Retreat With Wellness Ayurvedic Package For?

This 7-day retreat is built for two kinds of travelers: the burnt-out professional who’s been running on empty for months and finally has a week to actually stop, and the trekker who just came off Everest Base Camp, Annapurna, or another big trek and needs their body to recover before flying home.

If either one sounds like you, keep reading. If you’re after adrenaline, mountain summits, or a packed sightseeing schedule, this isn’t that trip, and that’s okay, we’ve got plenty of those too.

FAQS on Yoga & Ayurveda Wellness Retreat

Who is this Yoga & Ayurveda Wellness Retreat?

Health-conscious people who are running on empty and want real restoration, not just a change of scenery. Think the overworked professional, the parent who hasn’t had a full night’s sleep in ages, the person who keeps saying “I’m fine” a little too quickly.

If yoga, meditation, and genuine stillness sound appealing, and trekking or high-adrenaline outdoor adventure doesn’t, this was built with you in mind.
