The tour is a gist of the diversity that Nepal has to offer in terms of natural scenery and wildlife, culture and lifestyle, heritage and traditions.
This is a classic tour to the traveler’s favorite three cities: Kathmandu Valley–Cultural Hub, Pokhara–Lake city, and Chitwan–nature’s paradise. Kathmandu wows visitors with its exquisite temples and monasteries with mind-blowing art, craftsmanship, and architecture, and vivacious celebrations and festivities. Pokhara enchants visitors with her natural beauty decorated by the Himalayas and numerous lakes. Likewise, Chitwan with its dense forest and aboriginal Tharu community offers the experience of a Wildlife safari and cultural extravaganza. Wonderlust of Nepal tour designed by Access Nepal offers you the window of opportunity to experience the best tourist cities of Nepal.
The tour starts from Kathmandu where you will visit numerous temples, monasteries, and palaces, many of which are enlisted in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will also experience some of the oldest cultural celebrations of the ancient valley provided that you have timed your tour to fall on celebration calendars. You will then head to Chitwan to experience the elephant safari inside the Chitwan National Park. You will also behold the cultural performances of the Tharu community in the evening. We will conclude our tour on the lap of the beautiful Himalayan Mountains by the lakes of Pokhara. It is difficult not to be mesmerized by the beauty of this small town. To add to the excitement, Pokhara also offers unique opportunities for boating, paragliding, zip flying, and cycling.
Welcome to the land of the Himalayas. You are welcomed by the beauty of mountains, hills, green fields, and the amazing aerial view of Kathmandu Valley. A representative receives you and escorts you to your hotel. A briefing about the tour program helps you with final preparations. In the evening we enjoy a welcome dinner in an authentic Nepali restaurant with a diverse cultural program, showcasing the culture of Nepal.
After breakfast, we drive towards a small hill within the city of Kathmandu where Swayambhunath Stupa, ‘Monkey Temple’ stands. A self-emerged Buddhist stupa lies on a hilltop overlooking Kathmandu with its watchful eyes. You can experience more about Tibetan Buddhism at Swayambhunath. Then we commence our drive to Pokhara along the Prithvi Highway which is a serpentine road on the side of the Trishuli and Marsyangdi Rivers. The 7-hour drive provides an amazing opportunity to witness the geographical diversity and the rural lifestyle of Nepal. After reaching Pokhara, we check-in to our hotel and rest.
Sarangkot undoubtedly offers one of the best sunrise views in Nepal. We drive early in the morning to get a glimpse of the first ray touching the summit of the Annapurna range and then enjoy the beautiful view of lakes and the entire Pokhara Valley. Sarangkot due to its location also used to be the launchpad for adventure activities like paragliding and ultralight. We return back to our hotel to enjoy breakfast before heading off toward other destinations.
The Tibetan refugee camp resembles a ‘mini-Tibet’ with cultural souvenirs, people, and artifacts that the Tibetans craft for livelihood. A visit to Davis Fall, followed by the Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave where numerous idols of deities can be found, is our next destination. The Davis fall makes its way underneath and can be witnessed inside the cave before flattening out as the Pardi River. Situated on a hilltop, Peace Pagoda is a symbol of peace that is being built throughout the world after the Second World War. The magnificent stupa is accessible after a short hike following a drive. After sightseeing, we drive back to the Lakeside where we enjoy a boat ride and visit the Tal Barahi temple amidst the lake. The remainder of the evening can be spent leisurely touring the lakeside and enjoying the sights and sounds around the area. A good time to be trying some local food as well.
A paradise for nature lovers, Chitwan National Park is home to a variety of flora and fauna. The national park habitats even endangered animals like the one-horned rhino and Bengal tigers. The drive to Chitwan is around 4 and a half to 5 hours from Pokhara. Once we reach Chitwan we have a variety of activities such as Jeep/Elephant Safari, canoeing, a visit to the Elephant and Crocodile center, Jungle walk, Tharu Village walk, Bird watching, etc. We also receive a warm welcome from the indigenous Tharus with a Cultural show. The Jungle safari is the highlight of the trip and an amazing experience to get close to nature and wildlife.
After an early breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu. Later in the afternoon, we visit the Kathmandu (Basantapur) Durbar Square which is an ancient courtyard of the then Royal Palace of the kingdom of Kathmandu, an ancient city that is strewn with Nepali architecture, art, and history. Well-known for the marvelous woodwork on each building, Kathmandu Durbar Square is filled with small temples and idols of gods and goddesses in every corner. After the sightseeing, we check-in to our hotel.
Patan Dubar Square (also, Lalitpur the city of beauty), a city filled with temples, stupas, palaces, and idols, is one of the major cities where Buddhist and Hindu people have been living in perfect harmony since ancient times. The city is also famous for fine artwork, particularly of metal. Bhaktapur, the smallest district in Nepal lies an hour’s drive from Kathmandu. The beautiful small town is famous for the most beautiful Durbar Square in Nepal. 55 Windows Palace, Natyapol, Golden Gate, Naag Pokhari, and National Art Museum are a few of the fan-favorite sites in Bhaktapur. Pashupatinath Temple is one of the holiest shrines for Hindus. Dedicated to the Lord of destruction, Shiva, the religious site is also famous for the holy river Bagmati where the cremation of Hindu people takes place and the river guides the soul to the afterlife. Baudhanath, a Buddhist stupa lies only 15 minutes away from Pashupatinath Temple. The large white dome with colorful praying flags and all-seeing eyes of Buddha and Nirvana, Boudhanath was also known as the Gateway to Tibet. Travelers and Merchants use to worship Boudhanath for a safe journey on their way to Tibet.
In the evening we have a farewell dinner in one of the best restaurants in Kathmandu. Share your feedback, tell us your stories and most of all enjoy your last night in Nepal.
3- hours prior to your scheduled departure our representative will escort you to the Tribhuvan International Airport. We hope to be part of your next adventure as well.
Nepal is a small country on the global map, but packs numerous dimensions, calling for a thorough exploration. In a country with over 140 ethnicities and more than 120 dialects, the culture is a varied mix. Furthermore, Nepal celebrates a variety of vibrant festivals all year long. Chances are, during your length of stay at any time of the year, you may encounter a Nepali festival. Moreover, ancient temples, monasteries, and palaces intrigue visitors with a taste of the nation’s rich cultural legacy. What’s more, national parks and wildlife reserves offer nature enthusiasts a chance to see endangered species while getting the raw feel of nature. All in all, Nepal is the perfect location for a varied and unforgettable trip experience due to the kind hospitality of the Nepalese people and the accessibility of travel.
Spring (February to May) and Autumn (October to December) are generally considered one of the best times to visit Nepal. Although you may tour the destinations in lower altitudes throughout the year, Spring (February to May) and Autumn (October to December) are the best times to trek in high altitudes as well. Nepal receives monsoon rain from June through September, which is not a great time to travel. Winter is very cold in the upper mountains with heavy snowfall which cause obstructions in the trekking routes.
Yes, all UNESCO World Heritage sites in Nepal and almost all other places of attraction (museums, historical, cultural sites and others) require entrance permits. The entrance fees are generally collected before entrance at the gate. The package costs are generally inclusive of such fees unless mentioned otherwise.
During the trek, we provide as much chlorinated water as you need. You may also refill your bottles at refreshment stops or at the hotel if you happen to carry chlorine tablets or other water purification options. You can also buy bottled water along the trail on most treks. A litre of bottled water ranges from USD 1 in shops and teahouses at lower elevations up to USD 4 in high-altitude teahouses.
The nationwide expansion of mobile networks has made it possible to enjoy 4G and 3G networks in most parts of the trek up to moderate altitude. A sim card for NCell and NTC, the leading mobile telecommunications providers can easily be availed. Uninterrupted connection however is greatly affected by weather conditions and terrain.
If you fall sick or get injured despite precautions, our first-aid trained guides would be your first help. Depending upon the nature of the sickness or injury, you would either be immediately taken to the best nearest medical facility or evacuated by a rescue helicopter for special medical attention. We would require your insurance details to arrange for a rescue helicopter if you are injured in a remote area and in no condition to trek further.
The safety of all our guests is our utmost priority. Nepal has been well-known as a safe destination and the Nepalese as friendly and welcoming people. We generally tour in small groups in the constant care and company of our experienced and expert guides. The places that we frequently utilize as our stops have been known to be reliable and safe over the years that we have been served. As such the safety of all travelers is ensured.
Your insurance is mandatory and should cover emergency air ambulance and/or helicopter rescue services and all related medical expenses for injury, death, loss of baggage, theft and trip cancellation. You are required to send in your insurance details while booking the trip. For more information, please refer to Travel Insurance.
A sturdy yet comfortable pair of walking boots with ankle support is recommended for trekking. Always pick a broken-in pair of boots over new ones to prevent blisters and other inconveniences while on the trek. The soles must be thick enough to protect your feet from sharp rocks and have a good tread for grip. If possible, opt for water-resistant boots that help keep your feet dry. Use woollen socks to keep your feet warm and do not forget to pack in extra pairs. A pair of crampons make walking on ice easy.
Tipping your guide and porter is not obligatory, but it has become a standard practice to tip your guide and porter in Nepal in appreciation of their care and service. Most of the guides and locals belong to communities in the trekking regions and even a small support can help them look after their families better. Although the tip amount depends upon your satisfaction and financial conditions, trekkers normally tip around 15% of the trip cost.
ExcellentBased on 318 reviewsDavid M2023-06-27Excellent all round Completed the three peaks pass with access Nepal. Hiked for 15 days straight. Found a couple of day’s challenging. The challenge made the adventure even more special. Found access Nepal to be a great company. Everything was organised and constant communication between their office and our designated go between. Our guide Subodh was fantastic. Provided plenty information on cultural landmarks along the walk and of Nepal itself. He encouraged us to go at our own pace and was flexible with the path to make some days easier and catch up on other days. We had 3 sherpas Netra, yubaraj and Dipesh. These guys are beasts and well deserve a generous tip. All in all the trip was fantastic and the price for the trip was on the low side compared to other tour companies and they are a local company that rely on word of mouth. Would book them in again when going back to Nepal. David (Australia)Fernanda M2023-06-07Guaranteed support and unique experience with Access I did the Three Passes Trekking with Access and I can assure you that it was the best experience of my life. Sadhana gave me all the support a few weeks before the trip, organized the itinerary, a guide gave me all the tips before the trip, clothes, health, itinerary, tips and everything else. In addition to everything, Lakpa was my guide, I don't know what would have become of me without him, he recognized the moments when I was very tired, he arranged all my organization for a peaceful stay in the lodges and he gave me a lot of support. Anyway, I recommend Access with my eyes closed, I want and will go back to Nepal in the near future and do other trekkings. It was my life's dream come true!Marita R2023-05-28Fantastic company that will give you the experience of a lifetime! This is our second time going with Access Nepal, this time for our honeymoon, and it was just as fantastic the second time around. It's an absolutely lovely company that will handle your trip as professionally as possible, from arriving at the airport to leaving again. They listen to your needs and wishes, and customize the trip accordingly. We are always incredibly well taken care of by one of the managers, Sadhana, who is a dear friend by now, who always does anything she can to make the trip the absolute best it can be. And we couldn't have asked for better company or a more trustworthy guide than our guide Giri. The company has very high standards as to how they treat and compensate their staff, and its really visible in the content and pride shown by all of their staff members. As for the treks they offer, we've done both the Everest three high passes and the Manaslu circuit now, and both have been absolutely mind-blowing. There really is no other place in the world like the Himalayas. Every single part; the Jeep ride into the areas, the high roads, the mountain sides, the mountains following your every step; everything is just absolutely amazing. It's too amazing to describe in words or pictures. I can't tell you anything but to GO!!! It's well, well, well worth the time and cost!!Alcenir2023-05-273 passes with Accsess Nepal I had one of the best experiences of my life with Accsess Nepal, in the mountains of Nepal. To go to the Everest Base Camp is a dream of many. However, I wanted a little bit more, so I chose the "Everest 3 High Passes - 19 days" trek. Incredible. The sights and people of this wonderful place will remain etched in my memory forever. The company provided all the administrative support for my arrival in Kathmandu, through Sadhana. She was always very prompt with my various questions and ensured a perfect organization for my comfort and safety. And, finally, Devman. He was our guide during the trek. A first-rate professional. Very concerned about the safety of the group. Knowledgeable about the mountain and the fantastic Nepalese culture. He ensured that everyone individually enjoyed the best possible experience on this spectacular trek. I really recomend this company and if you can, choose Devman as your guide. Enjoy the mountain!Izabele F2023-05-22It was worth waiting so many years I did the Everest Base Camping trek with this agency and it was much better than I expected. I made the trip alone and received all the support from Sadhana and had the most partner guide along with the porter. I felt safe and respected the entire time. We form a family and enjoy every day with great joy. This trip will stay forever in my memory and heart. Very grateful to the entire Access Nepal family, especially my guide Sobodh for all his care and teachings.Girish B2023-05-03Grand tour of Nepal Our whole trip to Nepal was excellent from the tailor made itinerary organized by Pratap to the internal transfers by car. The whole trip was professionally organized after several discussions until it was exactly as we wanted and the tour company did not fail us. Our guide Bimal was very protective and very knowledgeable and the driver Laxman was safe and very experienced. I would definitely recommend this company to friends and family as we got the exact trip that we wanted and expected. The hotels selected were fantastic throughout. If we were to do this trip again we would fly internally rather than drive as the roads were not that great. Thankyou Pratap for a memorable trip. Girish and Leena Bhome (UK)Vro v2023-05-02Perfect! My wife and I, with little time available, relied on Access Nepal, found thanks to Tripadvisor, for a 10-day tour of Kathmandu, Chitwan and Pokhara with a short trek in March 2018. The organization was perfect and I must thank Kritee, our contact person, for her efficiency and professionalism, which allowed us to make the most of the time available, all at reasonable costs. Thanks also to Chhabi our guide and Madan our porter, courteous and helpful. Finally, a word for Nepal, a splendid destination that seems to have almost completely overcome the tragedy of the earthquake.
Used Access Nepal for a recent trip to Kathmandu. They made the trip easy to book from the beginning. We booked 2-one day tours and were extremely happy with both. We had a first rate guide and driver. Would highly recommend Access Nepal.
