2. Everest Base Camp Trek-14 Days

Everest Base Camp Trek is the best-selling package in the Everest region. It is a 14-day package that follows the standard Everest Base Camp Trek route. This package is popular among travelers and mountaineers. The beautiful mountain views and the trails make the journey adventure-worthy.

The basic Everest Base Camp route follows arriving in Kathmandu and then going to Lukla. Unlike in Classic Everest Base Camp route, which has sightseeing activity on day 2, the 14-day Everest Base Camp Trek route doesn’t include that. On the second day, the route is followed by a thrilling flight trip from Kathmandu to Lukla.

After the flight to Lukla, the route will continue via trekking to Phakding. From Phakding, the Everest Base Camp Trek route goes by Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Everest Base Camp, Gorakshep, Kalapatthar, Pheriche, Namche Bazaar, Lukla, and return flight to Kathmandu.

3. Everest Base Camp Trek by Road-16 Days

Everest Base Camp Trek by Road is one of the trending and demanded by many. Though the route is also similar to the packages in the middle, the rest of the Everest Base Camp Trek route map is completely different.

The Everest Base Camp Trek by Road package covers 200 to 300km of the total distance. This package is longer than other Everest region packages and covers a long amount of distance. However, the Everest Base Camp Trek by Road gives you new experiences and adventures.

The Lukla to Everest Base Camp Trek route also follows the same typical Everest Base Camp Trek itinerary. However, the Lukla to Everest Base Camp Trek route starts from Lukla and is followed by the trek to Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorakshep, Everest Base Camp, back to Gorakshep, Kalapatthar, Pheriche, Namche Bazaar, and Lukla. This is the typical itinerary of the Lukla to Everest Base Camp Route.

But there is no international or direct flight to Lukla. Therefore, if you are visiting Everest Base Camp, first of all, you have to take an international flight to Kathmandu and then a domestic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla.

Lukla to Everest Base Camp Distance

The total trekking distance from Lukla to Everest Base Camp is approximately 65 km (40 miles) one way, and for a round trip, it is about 130 km (80 miles). The trek typically takes about 8 to 12 days, including various acclimatization stops along the way for safe travel to the base camp of the world’s highest mountain.

Alternative Trekking Routes to Everest Base Camp via Ramechhap/Manthali Airport

Another one of many alternative trekking routes to Everest Base Camp trek involves an early, long drive to Ramechhap (Manthali) airport for a flight to Lukla. During the busy trekking seasons like Spring (March to May) and Autumn (October and November), there are very low chances that you will get direct flights from Kathmandu to Lukla.
