Overview

Journey to the Everest Base Camp – A dream adventure to stand at the base of the highest peak in the world.

The Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the most sought-after trekking destinations in the world. This legendary adventure takes you deep into the heart of the Khumbu region, offering some of the best views of Mount Everest (8,848 meters/29,029 feet) and other 8,000-meter-high peaks. The Trek to Everest Base Camp not only takes you to the base of the world’s tallest mountain but also combines breathtaking landscapes with the rich culture and traditions of Nepal.

The 14-Day Mount Everest Base Camp Trek lies on the bucket list of travelers around the globe. This is a dream adventure, trekkers must get to experience at least once in their lives. The Everest Base Camp Trek will take you to a height of roughly 5,364 meters/17,598 feet, which is the Everest Base Camp elevation. However, the highest point of the trek will be Kala Patthar (translates to “Black Rock”), which stands at 5,550 meters/18,209 feet tall. The summit of Kala Patthar rewards you with the best 360° panoramic view of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori, and Ama Dablam, along with the majestic Khumbu Glacier and Icefall.

The Everest Base Camp Trek Itinerary begins with a scenic 35-minute flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. The Mount Everest Base Camp Trek begins and ends in Lukla, which is famous for its one of the most adventurous airports in the world. The airport is also referred to as the Tenzing-Hillary Airport, named after the popular figures, Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary. After we arrive in Lukla, we will then officially begin our EBC Trek journey, passing alongside the Dudh Koshi River, and through the Sagarmatha National Park, then head towards Phakding, where you will spend your first night in the Khumbu region of Nepal.

Following your trek to Phakding, you will then arrive at the famous trekking hub at Namche Bazaar the next day. Namche Bazaar, which is also known as the “Gateway to Everest”, is a popular trading point in the Everest region and a key acclimatization stop for trekkers and climbers. You will spend an extra day here at Namche for acclimatization and safety from Altitude Sickness. Namche Bazaar (3,440 m/11,286 ft) is also one of the last stops where trekkers can buy or rent trekking gear and equipment before heading onto their journey.

Continuing our journey, the Everest Base Camp Trek route brings us to Tengboche, where you will visit the famous Tengboche Monastery. We then continue on towards Dinboche the following day and spend an extra day here to get used to the high altitude. The Everest Base Camp Trek is a challenging yet rewarding journey, and that is why you must follow all the necessary precautions and prepare for your safety. Following the Everest Base Camp Trek map and our final acclimatization stop at Dingboche, we head to Lobuche and finally reach Gorak Shep, before heading onto the main highlight of our trek, Everest Base Camp.

After successfully conquering Everest Base Camp, you are filled with all sorts of emotions and a sense of accomplishment. You can take great pride in completing this once-in-a-lifetime journey. You will spend the night in Gorak Shep. Another major highlight of the Everest Base Camp Trek awaits us the following day. We hike to the summit of Kala Patthar very early in the morning to catch the sunrise and witness breathtaking views of some of the tallest peaks in the world, including Mount Everest itself.

On our 14-Day Everest Base Camp Trek itinerary, we will be walking the EBC trail for 11 days. Out of the 11 days of trekking, 8 days are set out for hiking up at a slow pace, and 3 days are for the descent to Lukla after completing the journey. The total Everest Base Camp Trek distance stretches to about 130 kilometers (round-trip), making it a fairly long trekking journey. However, with the ease of our clients in mind, we will be trekking only about 5 to 6 hours per day with plenty of rests in between for recovery.

Our priority at Access Nepal Tour and Trekking is our clients’ health and safety. The guides we provide for your trekking adventures are experts at navigating the terrain and have well over a decade of trekking experience. We highly urge you to listen and follow their instructions during the trek for your safety.

To avoid Altitude Sickness and incorporate safe trekking practices, we follow the universal rule of “Climb High, Sleep Low”. Therefore, apart from the two days dedicated for acclimatization at Namche Bazaar and Dingboche, to further aid with the acclimatization procedure, we hike at high altitudes during the day and get down for overnight rest.

The Everest Base Camp Trek is a perfect adventure for nature lovers, as you will get the chance to spot various wildlife species, including the Himalayan Tahr, Himalayan Yaks, Musk Deers, and Himalayan Monal (Danphe) along the journey. If you’re lucky enough, you may even spot endangered animals such as the Red Panda or even a Snow Leopard while passing through the forests of Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Throughout this legendary journey, you will walk through dense pine and rhododendron forests along the way. Hence, if you’re a lover of nature, a filmmaker, a student of nature, or simply an adventure seeker, the Mount Everest Base Camp Trek is the perfect getaway adventure for you.

The best time to trek to Everest Base Camp is during the Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) seasons. These seasons offer the best views of the surrounding mountains with clear skies and moderate temperatures, making it ideal for trekking and beautiful sightseeing. Furthermore, the Everest Base Camp Trek’s best time ensures you have a higher chance of various wildlife sightings, which you would not want to miss out on.

Our Everest Base Camp Trek cost starts at $1,490 per person. The trek cost has been carefully set taking into consideration factors as accommodation, transportation fees including flight tickets to and from Lukla, full-board meals, guides and porter charges, as well as permit fees, and is all inclusive in the total cost of the trip.

Furthermore, at Access Nepal Tour and Trekking, we provide our clients with the added benefit of customizing the itineraries to suit their own personal needs and requirements in order to enjoy the best possible trekking experience in Nepal. So get ready to book with us on our Everest Base Camp Trek journey and make memories that last for a lifetime.

Similarly, we also provide other Everest Base Camp Trekking packages for a more enhanced experience with nature, such as the Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Gokyo to Everest Base Camp Trek, Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek, and more. There are altogether two types of permits required for trekking to Everest Base Camp. These are the Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit and the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Municipality Entry Permit.

Note: Access Nepal Tour and Trekking will obtain all required permits for the Everest base camp trek for you. The costs of permits are already included in your package cost. Thereby, no extra payment is required to obtain them.

1) Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit

This permit is required to enter the Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. All foreign trekkers (including SAARC countries) must get this permit.

It costs NPR 3000 per person for foreigners; NPR 1,500 for SAARC nationals; similarly, it costs NPR 100 for Nepali citizens.

2) Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit

Lastly, you need a Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit for entering the Khumbu region. It costs NPR 3000 per person for foreigners; NPR 1,500 for SAARC nationals; similarly, it costs NPR 100 for Nepali citizens.

How Can You Get These Permits for the Everest Base Camp Trek?

You can get the Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit by visiting either of these offices:

1) Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation office in Kathmandu

2) Sagarmatha National Park counter in Monjo.

Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit can be obtained from either Lukla or Monjo.

Some of the documents required are:

  • Valid passport (with valid Nepal visa), and a photocopy
  • Two passport-sized photos
  • Cash in NPR

Major Checkpoints of These Permits

These permits are often checked at Lukla, Monjo, Namche Bazaar, and other areas along the route.

Food During the Everest Base Camp Trek

One of the essential parts of the trek is taking proper nutrition. Supporting your body during high-altitude ascent is crucial. Meals rich in carbohydrates and proteins are highly recommended. Local delicacies are not only more hygienic but also nutritionally beneficial. Our packages include 14 breakfasts, 13 lunches, and 14 dinners (including welcome and farewell dinners) during the trek, served on a full-board (main course) basis. Seasonal fruits, tea, and coffee are also included.

Teahouses provide hygienic meals made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. A staple dish is the Nepali dish (daal bhat), which includes lentil soup, rice, seasonal vegetables, pickles, meat, and other side dishes.  In addition to traditional meals, teahouses also have other options like porridge, macaroni, spaghetti, pizza, lasagna, curry dishes, fried rice, momo (dumplings), sandwiches, Noodles (Chowmein), oats, and bakery items.

The traditional Nepali Dal Bhat comes with an unlimited refill option, making it one of the most popular dishes to consume on the trek.

Due to the location and accommodation type, food and drink prices may vary. We recommend carrying protein bars and dried fruits for extra energy.

Note: You can pre-inform us about any dietary preferences or allergies.

About Drinking Water During the Everest Base Camp Trek

While on trek, keeping your body hydrated is crucial for your day’s journey. Without proper hydration, there is a high chance you may feel unwell and unmotivated on your trekking journey. We strongly advise you to drink plenty of water during the trek and keep yourself hydrated. You should drink at least 5-6 liters of water daily during the trek. Keep your water bottle with you at all times and keep on hydrating your body in short intervals. You may refill your water bottles at the lodge or natural water sources along the way, which your guide recommends as safe for drinking.

We strongly advise you to purify the water before drinking it. We provide you with water purifiers so you can drink safe water. You can also buy bottled water in various shops and lodges along the way. But please note that the cost of bottled water rises as you reach higher altitudes. A liter of bottled water may cost you from USD 1 to up to USD 4, depending on the location.

We strongly advise you to carry two water bottles with you at all times. As the water purification process can take a bit of time, you can use one water bottle until the other water gets purified and is safe for drinking.

When is the Best Time to Visit Mount Everest Base Camp Trek?

When traveling to the Himalayan region, travelers should be mindful of choosing when is the best time to visit the Everest Base Camp Trek. The best time to trek to Everest Base Camp is during Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November). During this time, the weather becomes favorable, and other factors like clear skies, pleasant temperatures, and breathtaking views of the Himalayas become clearer.

  • Spring (March-May): The temperature at higher altitudes can rise to 20°C (68°F) during the day and drop to around -5°C (23°F) at night in the Spring season. Around this season, the trails are filled with blooming rhododendrons and other wildflowers.
  • Autumn (September-November): The temperature during daytime at high elevations can reach up to 25°C (77°F), while nighttime temperatures can drop to -10°C (14°F). During this season, weather conditions become stable, with crystal clear mountain views, and the perfect setting for photography.

Despite Spring and Autumn being ideal, treks can be arranged during Summer (June-August), and Winter (December-February), as trekking during these times also has their own perks.

  • Summer (June-August): During Summer, at high altitudes, the temperatures become warmer with daytime highs reaching 27°C (80.6°F) and nighttime lows around 5°C (41°F). However, the Monsoon season coincides with Summer, leading to wet and slippery trails in the lower regions. Additionally, flight delays to and from Lukla are more common due to rain and cloudy weather.
  • Winter (December-February): During Winter, the temperatures at high altitudes go up about 15°C (59°F) in the daytime. At night, the temperatures can plunge to -20°C (-4°F) or lower. Heavy snowfalls during this season make some parts of the route challenging. However, the trail will be quieter due to the cold, with fewer trekkers and pristine snow-covered surroundings.

Altitude and Acclimatization During the Mount Everest Base Camp Trek

The trek involves significant altitude gain, reaching a maximum of 5,550 meters at Kala Patthar. Acclimatization stops in Namche Bazaar at 3,440m and Dingboche at 4,410m are critical to avoid altitude sickness. Trekkers are advised to hydrate well and ascend slowly to adapt to the thinner air.

Climbing Mount Everest is challenging and requires immense training, but reaching Everest Base Camp at 17,598 feet (5,364 meters) is possible for people with different fitness levels. The trek usually takes about 11-12 days and covers about 80 miles (130 km) round trip from Lukla. Our Everest Base Camp Trek is a budget-friendly package option for trekkers looking to conquer the base of the world’s tallest mountain. But if you want more comfort, our standard Classic Everest Base Camp Trek has special deluxe features like an Everest Base Camp helicopter tour, a much more deluxe stay at your hotels, and many more.

The 14-Day Everest Base Camp Trek package includes your stay in Kathmandu, round-trip Kathmandu-Lukla flights, trekking permits, all accommodations, full-board meals on the trek, a guide and porter, and a stay in a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu. You’ll also be equipped with a free Everest Base Camp Trek Map for your ease. Additional costs only include personal expenses like snacks, beverages, and tips. Apart from this, there are no other hidden charges.

The adventure begins with a short (30-35 minute) flight to Lukla from Kathmandu or Ramechhap, followed by the trek on foot to the Base Camp. If you want a longer adventure, consider the Everest Base Camp by Road, Everest Three Passes Trek, or the Everest Base Camp to Gokyo Trek.

    Altitude Risks Overview

One of the key points to be aware of is that as soon as you gain elevation, the oxygen level also starts decreasing. To be more specific, the oxygen level at sea level is over 20%. At the same time, at 5000m, it can be just above 10%.

As a result of this, many trekkers suffer from Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) and other serious issues like HAPE (High Altitude Pulmonary Edema) and HACE (High Altitude Cerebral Edema). However, this situation can be prevented by taking proper acclimatization and rest days.

    Key Acclimatization Tips

    • Once you get to an altitude of above 3000m, you should ascend up to 500m per day; not more than that.
    • Walk slowly to avoid extra pressure on your body.
    • You must drink 3 to 4 litres of water every single day.
    • Don’t smoke or drink.
    • Get an adequate amount of sleep.
    • Track your oxygen levels on a regular basis if possible.

Essential Health Tools (Consider carrying them)

    • A pulse oximeter, which helps you to track blood oxygen saturation.
    • Diamox (Acetazolamide) is a medication that treats swelling caused by heart disease.
    • Water purification tablets for preventing stomach-related issues.
    • First-aid kit (headache and anti-nausea tablets).

    Dietary Instructions at Higher Altitudes

    • Focus on eating high-carb meals, including rice and potatoes, to maintain energy.
    • Neglect meat-heavy meals and junk foods.
    • Caffeine intake should be minimal.
    • Take more nuts, high-energy bars, and fruits.

Emergency Protocols to Follow During the Mount Everest Base Camp Trek

If you observe any altitude sickness symptoms, then descend as soon as possible. Then, inform your guide straightaway as they are the ones who’ll help you in these emergency hours.

Additional Note: To avoid altitude sickness, we follow the “Climb High, Sleep Low” rule to prevent altitude sickness. Along with acclimatization days at Namche Bazaar and Dingboche, we include short hikes to higher altitudes during the day and return to lower altitudes to sleep. This helps your body adjust safely.

Mount Everest Base Camp Trek Difficulty

The trek to Mount Everest Base Camp is difficult. It is a moderate-level trek suitable for experienced trekkers. The challenging routes and high altitudes demand mental determination, physical fitness, and good preparation. The terrain leading to Everest Base Camp is rough and includes lots of ascents.

Though it’s not a technical climb and doesn’t require ropes or other climbing gear, the long hours of walking and high altitudes make it challenging.

The Mount Everest Base Camp is a demanding trip. Therefore, it asks for good preparation along with safety. To complete the summit of Mount Everest Base Camp, it takes 12 to 14 days, including the acclimatization days and the return journey.

The Mount Everest Base Camp’s total distance covers around 130 km. The typical days of this trip require 6 to 8 hours of walking. The trails are not smooth; the ascent will be steep, rocky, and uneven.

However, Mount Everest Base Camp is not all about challenges and difficult roads. The step of this trek takes you closest to nature. You will be hypnotized by the creation of nature. The trekkers have to pass through many suspension bridges, Sherpa villages like Namche Bazaar, trails decorated with prayer flags, open valleys, and forests. The higher you go, the surroundings become more barren, cold, and icy. These beautiful part of the trek takes the tiredness away and you can also pass the difficulty easily.

The Everest Base Camp trek takes you to an elevation above 3,000 m (9,842ft). After crossing an altitude of 3,000 plus, there will be a high risk of getting altitude sickness. If you feel symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, and headaches, immediately talk to the guides.

They will help you with everything. To avoid this type of risk, you have to acclimatize properly. Therefore, most of the itinerary to Everest Base Camp has acclimatization days. This is crucial and kind of mandatory to adjust the body in high altitudes as the air gets thinner, reducing the oxygen levels.

To make the trek easy and overcome these challenges, it is highly suggested that the trekkers train their bodies one or two months prior. Some of the things you can do to improve your fitness level are hitting the gym, doing cardio exercises, hiking, swimming, and yoga.

During the trek, don’t try to walk at speed or compete with others; walk at your own pace and wear appropriate trekking gear.

Train Yourself for the Trek To Everest Base Camp

The Everest Base Camp Trek is a moderate to challenging-level adventure, depending on your fitness level and prior trekking experience. It is suitable for travelers of all ages with proper training and guidance. However, reaching elevations like Gorakshep (5,180m), Base Camp (5,364m), and Kala Patthar (5,550m) can be challenging. If you are prepared physically and mentally, trekking at high altitude comes with risks like high-altitude sickness.

To make the trek easier, we recommend preparing 2-3 months in advance:

    • Physical Training: Focus on gym workouts and cardio exercises like running, cycling, walking up staircases, or hiking to improve stamina. Yoga and swimming are also great for building flexibility and balance. Increasing core strength and endurance is crucial when it comes to high-altitude trekking.
    • Mental Preparation: You must make up your mind for the challenges ahead, practice mindfulness, and set realistic goals to build mental strength. Even during the difficult times, having a clear and calm mind can help overcome obstacles along the way. That is why trekkers must practice meditation and have a peaceful mind throughout their trekking adventures.

When you are trekking, walk at a steady pace that suits you. Stay hydrated by drinking enough water. Sleep well, eat properly, listen to your guide, and follow their advice. Access Nepal Tours & Trekking guarantees a safe trip by providing acclimatization days and prioritizing your well-being throughout the trek.

Can a Beginner Trek to Everest Base Camp?

Yes, a beginner can trek to Mount Everest Base Camp. Many people think trekking to Everest Base Camp is not possible for beginners and that you have to be experienced, but that’s not true. Beginners can also go for a trek to Mount Everest Base Camp.

However, there are some important factors that trekkers should follow before trekking there. Prior to one or two months, the trekkers should start preparing themselves by doing exercises and eating healthy food to improve their physical fitness level.

Similarly, to make the summit to base camp success beginner-friendly, you have to plan the trip meticulously. You will be walking in high altitude places for long hours, that is why being physically fit is important. This trip is possible for rookie trekkers without needing technical climbing or mountaineering skills.

Therefore, start doing activities like jogging, cycling, hiking, and regular exercise. This preparation helps to increase stamina and strength during the trek. Also, if you have any heart and lung-related health issues, this trek is not recommended.

The trekking route takes you to many high-altitude places, which reduces the oxygen levels. Select the trip that has many acclimatization days on the itinerary. If you walk slower, you will reach the goal, but if you rush, you will go nowhere.

Additionally, choose wisely if you are going to Mount Everest Base Camp on a package. For beginner trekkers, it is highly recommended to go in a group and hire an experienced guide. When traveling in the Himalayan region, which has many challenges, guides are a major part of the trip for your safety and encouragement.

Everest Base Camp/Chitwan/City tour May 2024 • Solo Very responsible company. He contributed greatly to the success of the trip. From the first contact, always trying to provide the best possible service, excellent hotel chosen with good structure. Great guide, very safe throughout the itinerary. There was bad weather forecast on the itinerary and we had to advance the walk and we managed to get a good view of Everest on the way up Kalapatthar. Perfect itinerary, no surprises! I did the safari in Chitwan and everything was fine, the resort structure chosen was sensational and the tours were great. Excellent city tour passing through the main attractions of Kathmandu. I highly recommend the company!

Everest Expedition Jun 2024 • Couples We decided to face an adventure that we had long planned to do. In June 2024 we climbed up to the Everest Base Camp (5364 m), passing Kalapatthar, about 5500 m. The challenge was only possible due to the excellent work done by the Agency Access Nepal, which in addition to organizing the entire expedition, encouraged us throughout the journey to complete the accomplishment. The presence, guidance and support of the Subodh Tamang guide and the Nirat loader were essential for the success of the adventure. The support of Sadhana, who was at the forefront of all the planning, was also very important. I highly recommend this agency!!! Note 10.

Friendly, great service, great value for money, speak good English, earthquake had no impact on our trip Oct 2015 • Friends From the moment we landed they took complete care of us. All we had to do was turn up and they sorted everything else. They took care of all the admin required for activities, so the whole three week holiday was a care free experience. Even with a fuel crisis, and one days notice from us, they managed to organise a private car to take us on a six hour round trip allowing us to go white water rafting. I would also note that the earthquake has had no impact on the service/packages provided by Access Nepal. Talking to other trekkers it seems that many people use the big western trekking companies to organise their holidays. In reality these trekking companies act as management agents who then go to companies such as Access Nepal to do all the work. Access Nepal will offer the same service/accommodation/facilities as the western companies. Having book with Access Nepal directly I am more than happy to recommend that others do the same. Save yourself some extra spending money and support a domestic business.

Superb trip thanks to Access Nepal Oct 2015 • Friends The team at Access Nepal are fantastic and made the trip completely stress free. From booking the trip while back in the UK to being collected from the airport and taken to our Hotel everything was thought of and taken care of smoothly. We did a 4 day Safari in Chitwan, the 14 day EBC Trek and on returning to Kathmandu asked Sadhana to organise some white water rafting for us. This was organised at less than 24hr notice and was a really great day trip with a private driver and 4hrs of very good rafting. The safari and the trek were both perfectly organised. All door to door transport and excellent accommodation (much better than many of the other trekkers we met) were sorted. The team also made sure we had all the correct gear and were happy to lend us anything we didn't bring. The guides and porters were absolutely brilliant. They speak excellent English and were great guys. They know how to make sure you get the most out of the trekking and make it all the way and when not guiding us most of our evenings were spent drinking tea and playing cards with them. I can't recommend these guys enough and would absolutely use them again if returning to Nepal.

At the end of April 2018, I and three people went on a trek to Everest Base Camp. We hired Access Nepal. When hiring, there was a misunderstanding regarding the billing (input x balance). I confess that this made me very worried. This problem was resolved with Sadhana, (refunded) and payment was made after the trek, that is, the company trusted and received after providing the services. Two colleagues and I arrived first, and they were already waiting for us at the airport. One of the colleagues would arrive on another flight later, the flight ended up being delayed for more than 5 hours, and the person responsible for reception was there waiting all this time. They were extremely punctual with schedules. We had several good surprises, reception dinner, dinner at the end of the trek, we received a t-shirt and duffel bag as a gift (we didn't need to buy them). They also provided us with the sleeping bag and down jacket, which saved us a significant amount. Everyone was very attentive, including the guide, Dipendra, who even taught us some card games to occupy the time we were resting. And Sadhana, how calm, kind, attentive. I recommend. As for the trail, I believe it is one of the most beautiful in the world, an incredible experience, it would take hours to talk about it. And the Nepalese people, very welcoming and friendly. They won my heart.

I just got back from trekking to Everest Base Camp organized by Acces Nepal Tour and Trekking and everything went very well! The agency met all my expectations, providing a sleeping bag and jacket for the trek, on loan, both suitable for the cold of January, and a duffel bag as a gift! Still in Brazil, I received guidance on what to pack for the trek and a detailed itinerary. The guide Subodh, with lots of interesting information, was always very attentive, careful and patient, as was the porter who accompanied us. The lodges were very simple, but clean and suitable for resting, with fresh and tasty food. The trekking was incredible, the landscapes were wonderful!!!

Amazing time doing EBC trek with Access Nepal! I went with Access Nepal for my Everest Base Camp 14 day trek, and I had an incredible experience! From my very initial inquiry, Sadhana was quick to respond and answer any questions. She made me feel very comfortable and connected throughout the entire process, and provided me with all the relevant information leading up to my arrival. When we finally met in Kathmandu to discuss the trek, she was just as friendly and kind and made me feel at ease knowing I was starting the next morning. I was met by my guide Om Prakash at the Kathmandu airport. From there he was with me the entire time as we traveled to Lukla to begin our trek and until I returned to Kathmandu. Om Prakash was an excellent and friendly guide, with so much knowledge of the area, the culture, the route, where to stay and safe places to eat and drink, and he also took the best photos! It was very helpful to have a local speaking guide to handle flight and accommodation logistics on my behalf, making sure I have somewhere to stay and eat every night. Throughout the trek, he managed my health and recommended me the best course of action when I wasn’t feeling 100%. He set the trekking pace accordingly to ensure my best success. Our porter, Bidur, was also extremely lovely during the trek. He handled my things with proper care, always made sure to have it ready on time by the evening, was extremely friendly and nice to talk to, and provided excellent service and companionship. Overall I had a 10/10 experience with Access Nepal: the trip coordinator Sadhana, my guide Om Prakash and my porter Bidur. I would recommend going with Access Nepal if you are looking to conquer the EBC trek or any similar in Nepal!

He answered my (million) questions as we trekked each day, patiently and with humor. Tek and Bashante, our porters, were unbelievable. Besides carrying some of our luggage, they also carried a box of fresh fruit all the way up just to help our bodies maintain some nutrition. I'm really happy to recommend Access Nepal for any of your travels in the Himalyas - you won't be disappointed!
