I completed the Everest 3 Passes Trek with a group of friends in April 2018 and have nothing but the highest praise about the organization and service provided by Access Nepal. Everything was exceptional from the very beginning when I first contacted them about organizing the trek until our final departure from Kathmandu. The hotel in Kathmandu's Thamel quarter was located in a pleasant secluded side street with a peaceful garden for relaxing before and after the trek. We were provided with a very interesting and comprehending guided tour of Kathmandu valley. Our transport up to Lukla was handled with exceptional care. It seamed that we would not be able to fly out because of deteriorating weather so we were moved up to an earlier helicopter flight instead of flying by plane. Our guide and porters were professionals who knew their way around the mountain and worked tirelessly to ensure that our stay would be a pleasant one from making sure all our accommodations at tee houses were in order to providing us with fresh fruit after each dinner. I'm quite confident in saying that we'd not have completed the trek without their guidance and help. All in all, Access Nepal is a serious and professional local agency that does an excellent job in organizing your trek for a reasonable price.

I went in May 2018 with some Belgian friends and it was a superb experience!! we had a beautiful time and weather. The impressions I have about Acces Nepal Tours is honest, very profesionnal, well prepared and a super guide. ( Devman was a super guide, he prepared us very well for what the altitude would do to us and how we could prevent altitude sickness. truly, if you want your trip to be successful ask for DEVMAN to be your guide, certainly if you are a bigger group) I recommend Access Nepal 100%, only praising their good work. It was a amazing experience for me and the group I was with. 😉

We did the Annapurna Base Camp Trek as a couple in April and are still as enchanted by this trip. The planning period in advance was rather short with us with two months, that's why we decided to book our trekking tour through an agency. That was exactly the case in hindsight, as most things worked out very well and through a guide, you can learn a lot about the land, nature and the people there. Sadhana, the person of contact for booking, kept in contact with us in advance and cleared all ambiguities. The deposit for the trek has arrived in Nepal by bank transfer and thus the booking has been made. By the way, we booked everything else for our three-week vacation only on the spot and quite short notice, which is highly recommended, because that is simply the common way to organize something there. You can book buses at any hotel reception and excursions at the numerous travel agencies... you already book in Germany, you just pay more and the outcome is uncertain. It's personal that matters, must learn in Nepal. Arrived in Kathmandu, we were received by our guide P.M. (short form for Purushottam Neupane, which is almost inexpressible for western languages :-)) and a driver. This is a great feeling especially because our flight was delayed 24h and we were not sure if we would still be picked up and our trek can still happen. P.M. speaks good English and we were able to have a good conversation with him there and afterwards. Arrived safely to our accommodation through chaotic Kathmandu and met with Sadhana to sort out all business and other flow. Paying by credit card does not cost a lot of fees, if you want to pay in euros or dollars, you should bring enough cash. In Nepalese currency, you can't get such a large amount of money at the ATM at once. Raising money has always been an adventure in itself... We were also equipped with sleeping bags and down jackets, which were really good quality and very warm. In the evening we learned that we were doing our hike alone with guide and porter, which was a great and pleasant surprise for us. To greet, there was a dinner with our guide, which was very pleasant and allowed first touches with Nepalese culture. In the morning around 6 am, the next day we went to Pokhara by bus, from where the trek started. The bus ride is very adventurous and you are actually on the road until the afternoon, but you have the opportunity to see a lot of the countryside. Nevertheless, I have to say that in total (2 other tours later) we went through Nepal by bus for three days and this one was the worst. However, there were regular breaks and this is how you can explain that in view of the road conditions you need almost a day for 200 km. In Pokhara, four of us were put into a very small car, each carrying a suitcase or backpack on our lap and to the hotel. This one looked great and we were already looking forward to a night in it, so we were taken to another hotel, which unfortunately wasn't quite as nice. Actually one shouldn't be upset about it, but we were disappointed anyway. I guess there were technical problems there and we couldn't move our hoped room. The next morning, the excursion began with P.M. as our guide, Modon as our porter and the two of us. Again a very small vehicle was called in which we all squeezed into (backpacks on the roof) and drove for the first time two hours towards the mountains. There are no proper roads and the car was not really suitable for the Holperpists, so people with back pain would have already been at the end afterwards. Most other agencies seem to be taking jeeps for this route, which also seem to be significantly more suitable. Our guide and porter were very nice and got us safely through the property. The first day started with heavy rain. We were already worried that it would stay that way, but after a few hours the haunting was over and the weather got better. On the other hand, we had the opportunity to ask questions about country and people and thus gain a little more insight into Nepalese life. The hike lasted 7 days 4-6h each and was quite demanding, but really beautiful. You can see varied panoramas from the ancient forest with monkeys to the snowy landscape on the mountain and cross small villages that seem like a dream. There were many moments during the trek when we just kept in and enjoyed the view and breathtaking nature. The teahouses are very simple but better than tents and there was always something warm to eat. At first, we thought that the drinks and food were included in the booked package, but that wasn't the case. We had to pay for coffee and tea as much as beer or coke (which we knew beforehand that we had to pay for ourselves). This isn't actually worth talking about, but nonetheless, this ambiguity about the bill at the teahouse made for a day of discussions. You should clarify from the beginning with the guide what he pays and what you still have to pay. We didn't completely see through the system until the end because tea was sometimes inclusive. We found out during the trek that we misjudged the weather. You walk further down, that is most of the way, through very hot primitive forest, where shorts and headgear make sense. It gets cold at the top, maybe you'll be there for two days. Gloves, hats, underpants are useful there. Almost every day there was heavy rainfall in the late afternoon, umbrellas and high-quality ponchos are quite helpful for the heavy rain. Overall, at the time of travel in April, it was significantly warmer than we had expected. We were happy throughout the trek, enjoyed the physical challenge and were captivated by the Nepalese culture and the friendly and outgoing people there. The overnight stay at Annapurna Base Camp in the freezing cold and an uninvited visitor (a dog had accessed the lodge and sought warmth under the sleeping bag) was unforgettable, as was the panorama of all the mountain giants early in the morning in the golden rays of sunshine. You can be frightened by altitude air and weather, but you don't have to. The descent was faster, but was more physically strenuous and swimming in the hot springs further in the valley did really good. Nevertheless, at the end the joy was a little dimmed when our last day started quite hectic because our guide was supposed to join the next tour and probably felt a need for time. Finally, we agreed with him to shorten the tour by two hours, after which a mini taxi came again and took us to the city. However, this little confusion may also be due to the fact that we arrived in Nepal 24 hours later than expected. When I arrived in Pokhara, again there was no place in the hotel promised to us, I was simply sad and expressed this as well. Eventually we were compensated by P.M.'s efforts with a second hotel stay in Pokhara, which was then finally in the promised hotel, which we could finally live well 🙂 To our great luck, we got an opportunity to celebrate Nepalese New Year in mid April, thus eliminating Nepalese people. to be able to meet again. In summary, it can be said that it was an unforgettable trip and that we can only advise everyone interested to take on this adventure. You can also really advise to join the tour with Access Nepal. Even if everything doesn’t always go smoothly, you can count on that at the end of the day you have a roof over your head and food and P in a good mood. M. everything can be organized somehow. 5 stars

Recently back from successfully summiting Island Peak in Nepal with Access Nepal. We highly recommend this trek. It's not the easiest but with a good level of fitness it's a great adventure. The trip includes a trek to Everest Base Camp and a great climb with ropes and crampons on Island Peak itself. Our trekking guide picked us up at arrival at Kathmandu airport and Sandhana (travel advisor) ran through the trip logistics before we set off the following day. With very helpful guides (trekking & climbing) and a porter supporting us throughout our trek, everything fell into place and all we had to do was concentrate on enjoying our trip. It was great to walk through the Everest region and summiting Island Peak was definitely the highlight. We can't thank our local hosts enough for helping us have a successful trip and ensuring all the logistics fell into place, even when the weather caused problems getting into and out of Lukla airport. The trek's schedule is well structured to minimise any difficulties with altitude and everyday our guide couldn't do enough to ensure we enjoyed our trek, were well accommodated and weren't suffering issues with altitude. If you're thinking of trekking in Nepal we strongly recommend going with Access Nepal. 5 stars

Just returned from trekking to Everest Base Camp organized by Acces Nepal Tour and Trekking and it went really well! The agency met all my expectations, provided for trekking, as a loan, sleeping bag and jacket, both suitable for the cold of January and a free duffel bag! Still in Brazil, I received guidance on what to bring in your luggage for trekking, plus a detailed itinerary. The guide Subodh, with lots of interesting information, always very attentive, careful and patient, as well as the porter who accompanied us. The lodges were quite simple, yet clean and suitable for resting, with fresh and tasty food. The trek was amazing, the scenery was amazing!!! 😉

We went for EBC trek with Access Nepal and the experience has been awesome! We booked through internet contacting the staff via email. They replied quickly giving us tips and answering to all our question. Once arrived in Kathmandu, our guide Purushottam was waiting us at the airport and has never left us alone for the rest of the trip, introducing us to the Nepalese culture and to the Himalaya region. Thanks so him we could reach both the base camp and the kala patthar. He gave us tips about eating and suggested us the best ways to prevent altitude sickness so we could enjoy every moment of the trip. We could learn a lot of new aspects of Nepalese life including typical cards games. Special thanks also to our porter who carried our duffle bags all along the trail, beingn always on time. Our rate is 5 stars, no regrets!

I have been trekking in the Himalayas for the past several years and always I used to go with Access Nepal tours and trekking as they are very reliable, cost effective and highly accommodative. Several occasions where weather had the potential to disrupt my schedule, specifically on the flight between Kathmandu and Lukla, the company came forward and provided alternate options at very nominal or no extra cost. My sincere thanks to Sadhana at Access Nepal Tours and Trekking who used to coordinate all my trekking and climbing trips from the time when she had been working with Nepal Vision Treks. With all the uncertainties around weather and many other factors, I have never got into a surprising situation so far with Access Nepal and I am confident that in future also same or even higher level of support will be available from Access Nepal.

Go with Giri! Karki Raj (AKA Giri) was an amazing guide. He was funny and knowledgeable and took care of us through our arduous trek to Gokyo-ri. I highly recommend booking with him if you can. The trek itself is incredible. Much less crowded than EBC, Gokyo-ri offers similar altitudes and I'm sure equally breathtaking views (you sure won't have any breath left at the top, anyway). The tour at the beginning of the trip is also very interesting and culturally immersive. Though looking back, your time in Kathmandu will not be the highlight of the trip. The trek is just so much better. All-in-all I think Access Nepal is a good company to go trekking with. They are professional, we stayed in a nice hotel in Nepal and always nice tea houses along the trek. We ate lots of Dal Bhat.

The tour to Lo Manthang (Mustang) via Pokhara and Jomson as a starting point was well organized by Rahul Rai. He gave us great advice and everything worked out on time... like a Swiss watch. Devman Tamang looked after us during the trekking with the porter Gobal who also did a great job. We ate a lot of very delicious apples and the two of them knew the route in their sleep. In the evening we usually played a card game... although it was pretty even between the countries. All in all, a great trip that I would do again in a heartbeat. We can recommend the Access Nepal team and we will definitely book through this agency again.

At the end of April 2018, I and three people went on a trek to Everest Base Camp. We hired Access Nepal. When hiring, there was a misunderstanding regarding the billing (input x balance). I confess that this made me very worried. This problem was resolved with Sadhana, (refunded) and payment was made after the trek, that is, the company trusted and received after providing the services. Two colleagues and I arrived first, and they were already waiting for us at the airport. One of the colleagues would arrive on another flight later, the flight ended up being delayed for more than 5 hours, and the person responsible for reception was there waiting all this time. They were extremely punctual with schedules. We had several good surprises, reception dinner, dinner at the end of the trek, we received a t-shirt and duffel bag as a gift (we didn't need to buy them). They also provided us with the sleeping bag and down jacket, which saved us a significant amount. Everyone was very attentive, including the guide, Dipendra, who even taught us some card games to occupy the time we were resting. And Sadhana, how calm, kind, attentive. I recommend. As for the trail, I believe it is one of the most beautiful in the world, an incredible experience, it would take hours to talk about it. And the Nepalese people, very welcoming and friendly. They won my heart.

I recently did the Three Passes Trekking with Access on a solo trip! I had double the support because I was traveling alone, Sadhana accompanied me the entire time, spoke to my guide during the trip to make sure everything was going well, gave me itineraries, set up my itinerary, gave me tips and everything. I planned for years to take this trip alone, but I don't regret hiring them for a second. I had problems with the altitude and if it weren't for my guide Lakpa I would have been in serious trouble. I HIGHLY recommend and recommend, very good prices (in fact, if you can, hire Nepali agencies instead of Brazilian ones, the country needs our support, apart from the cultural immersion which is incredible)

The trip we took with Access Nepal was magnificent: the Annapurna Circuit and the Chiwan National Park. Both the agency staff, with Sadhanna in charge, and the guides on the route, Devman, Bicash and Shuresh, were always attentive to solve any problem in a caring and efficient manner. They perfectly planned the routes and our daily life so that the entire group could progressively acclimatize to the altitude and effort, so that no one suffered any type of problem and that despite the hardness of the route. The hotels and food in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan are unbeatable. The mountain lodges met our expectations despite the precariousness that these accommodations usually have. The scheduled visits and tours were very interesting. And, on top of that. We were lucky with the weather and we thoroughly enjoyed the incredible settings. We had already done the Lantang Valley with them before and we knew of their effectiveness. In short, lucky to have traveled with them. We will repeat in new adventures. Kathmandu, April, 8th, 2024

I went with Access Nepal to complete the Annapurna Sanctuary trek (slightly longer scenic route that arrives at ABC) in March this year, with a friend. We had an amazing guide, Devman, who had everything sorted brilliantly, from start to finish. It meant that we could relax and focus on the trek and the mind-blowing sights, knowing that he was taking care of everything. He and our Porters looked after us all beautifully over the 14 days. We all taught each other a few new card games in the guesthouses too over plenty of cups of hot lemon honey tea at the end of the day's walk. When we got back, we compared what people were paying in accomm and meals when trekking independently, and it's quite striking how competitive it is, with all of the inclusions (like proper down jackets, fresh fruits and snacks in addition to meals, transit fares etc etc), and for us it was a no brainer when you're going up into these gigantic Mountains with someone like Devman who is an expert in what he does. I had the most brilliant time. Will be going with them again.

We did the Annapurna Base Camp with Access Nepal and everything was Ok. We had a briefing meeting with Sadhana to understand how the trip would work, we just missed receiving the information about the hotels we would stay (since we booked the tour 1 month in advance, we thought they would have all bookings made). Actually, until now we did not understand how this works, if they book the places in advance or during the trip, because it was high season and there were 3 hotels that we stayed that rooms were not so nice (very thin walls, so very cold). But our guide, Giri and our porter, Madan, they were always very polite and kind to us. The only thing we missed being with a guide was to receive a little bit more of information about the mountain, flora and fauna of the region. The agency lent us very good quality sleeping bags and jackets which were very useful in cold days. So if you are thinking on doing the trek with an agency we recommend Access, just make sure to understand what is and what is not included during the trekking - things like shower, charger, wifi and tea can make a big difference in your budget in the end of your trip.

Two mates and i decided to take on the challenge to see Mount Everest via the EBC trail. We trawled through numerous trip advisor reviews and finally chose Access Nepal as they looked to have really good reviews. A few hours after submitting an online query via the Access Nepal website, I was contacted by Ms. Sadhana Adhikari(Executive Travel Advisor). From that point onwards i felt reassured that we had taken the right option as Sadhana was extremely helpful and efficient in providing answers to all questions that I had for her. We decide to book a 12 day trek from Oct 1 to Oct 12 which included all accommodation and meals. The trip itinerary was very well organized and Sadhana stepped us through it in detail to ensure we were all across it. Our guide Dipender and Porters (Hari and Jivan) were awesome. They ensured that at every step during the hike we were catered and cared for. After the evening meals we had fresh fruit and Dipender ensured that we were happy and content. His advice and care was outstanding. He is very knowledgeable of the EBC Trail area and was updating us on names and facts of the beautiful mountains as we trekked through. Meals and accommodation that were included in the package were of high standard. One of my mates succumbed to altitude sickness two days before reaching EBC. Dipender and Sadhana were on top of it all and made all arrangements for evacuation within a few hours. At no point did we feel worried or concerned as we were kept informed of all arrangements. For my mate and I that remained , Dipender monitored us daily to ensure that we made it to EBC without any further issues. His care for us was outstanding. Sadhana , Dipender , Hari and Jivan provided outstanding service and their help and care made our EBC trek experience all the more fantastic. I have no hesitation recommending the Access Nepal company to anyone planning to take the EBC trek. We will be sure to use them in the future for further visits to beautiful Nepal and the magical Himalayan landscape.

We had a bit of trouble getting to Nepal with 2 flights canceled, but all the time Sadhana was there adjusting our plans, taking care of everything and answering all my emails super fast. Our guide was simply the best guide we could have, Subodh (or Sub) who help and looked after us all the way. Thank you to all the people at Access Nepal, you guys are amazing.

Hi All, I had the absolute pleasure to do the Annapurna circuit with Access Nepal tours. It was a awesome experience and I cannot wait to come back to Nepal again to do Everest Base camp with them. Most of your administration and tour organisation is all through Sadhana. She is a lovely lady who is very dedicated to her work and the people which chose Access Nepal. The quality of her customer service is equal to her passion. She is very busy, dealing with everyone's tours and also being a full time mother. Other than my email interactions and a few meetings with Sadhana in Kathmandu, most of my time was spent with PN, my guide, and the porter who was supplied to help me along the trek. The Nepalese guides are incredible people. PN made me feel safe and in control of what I wanted to do and see the whole time. I was walking at a faster pace then the schedule so PN gave me a few options on places to stay which did not disappoint. He taught me a lot about the Nepalese culture, language and history along the way. He was very funny and always put my safety and well-being first. I left the tour with 2 very close friends in Nepal and I will forever have great memories of my trekking experience in such a beautiful and culturally in depth country. Thank you Access Nepal. I will be back again soon!
