The Kori Trek is a 10-day guided trekking package in the Annapurna region of Nepal, designed for trekkers seeking a less-crowded Himalayan trail with authentic village experiences and dramatic mountain views. This newly popular route leads to Kori Danda (3,800m) and offers stunning panoramas of Annapurna II, Lamjung Himal, Machhapuchhre, and Manaslu.
The Kori Trek is typically completed as a guided teahouse trek, with permits, accommodation, meals, and logistical support arranged in advance. Most itineraries follow a comfortable pace over around 10 days, making the trek suitable for beginners as well as experienced trekkers.
Unlike commercial routes such as the Annapurna Circuit or Mardi Himal Trek, the Kori Danda Trek remains relatively untouched, offering peaceful trails through rhododendron forests, alpine grasslands, and traditional Gurung villages like Sikles and Tangting. Trekkers also get opportunities to spot wildlife such as Himalayan Thar, musk deer, and Danphe (Himalayan monal) along the way.
This 10-day Sikles Kori Hill Trek follows a well-paced itinerary that allows trekkers to gradually gain altitude while enjoying the natural and cultural highlights of the region.

Kori Trek Route
The Kori Trek starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, followed by a short drive to Sikles village in the Annapurna region. Sikles, a traditional Gurung settlement in Kaski district, serves as the official starting point of the trek.
From Sikles, the trail ascends through forests and alpine landscapes to Hugu Goth, a seasonal grazing area used by local shepherds. The next trekking day involves a steady uphill walk crossing Hugu Khola before reaching Nohtha (3,000 m), a common stopover point for trekkers heading toward Kori Danda.
The trek then continues with an ascent to Kori Danda (3,800 m), the highest point of the journey. From the viewpoint, trekkers are rewarded with panoramic Himalayan views, including Annapurna II, Lamjung Himal, Machhapuchhare (Fishtail), and Manaslu on clear days.
After exploring the viewpoint, the return journey follows the same route back to Sikles. The trek concludes with a drive from Sikles to Pokhara and onward to Kathmandu.
