Access Nepal Tour & Trekking

Hi All,

I had the absolute pleasure to do the Annapurna circuit with Access Nepal tours. It was a awesome experience and I cannot wait to come back to Nepal again to do Everest Base camp with them.

Most of your administration and tour organisation is all through Sadhana. She is a lovely lady who is very dedicated to her work and the people which chose Access Nepal. The quality of her customer service is equal to her passion. She is very busy, dealing with everyone’s tours and also being a full time mother.

Other than my email interactions and a few meetings with Sadhana in Kathmandu, most of my time was spent with PN, my guide, and the porter who was supplied to help me along the trek. The Nepalese guides are incredible people. PN made me feel safe and in control of what I wanted to do and see the whole time. I was walking at a faster pace then the schedule so PN gave me a few options on places to stay which did not disappoint. He taught me a lot about the Nepalese culture, language and history along the way. He was very funny and always put my safety and well-being first. I left the tour with 2 very close friends in Nepal and I will forever have great memories of my trekking experience in such a beautiful and culturally in depth country.

Thank you Access Nepal. I will be back again soon!

Magical Exerience

On my recent trip to Nepal I completed the Base Camp trek with Gokyo Lakes itinerary. We were a group of 4 travellers, going up Gokyo side first and then Basecamp and down. All four of us made it up and around and no one got altitude sickness which was obviously the main goal – yay! Slow and steady wins the race is my advice!!

Access Nepal Tour company were fantastic, everything was arranged and organised with excellent communication from Australia and then transfers, accommodation and tour ran smoothly, with out any glitches. Our tour guide Ganesh was experienced, helpful, spoke excellent english and provided excellent attention to detail. Our accomodation on the mountain was what you would expect, if not better (actually we even had an ensuite for 3 of the nights!). Access Nepal provide excellent value for money when compared to other trekking companies we compared with online and also when talking to other groups on the mountain (often our accom was better, always with an indoor toilet, we got fruit served with our dinner every night and a detailed briefing about our next day). All our food is included on the trek (you still order anything you like off the menu at the tea house and a cup of tea or coffee, just like other groups) and I think this is SUPER important because food on the mountain can be expensive especially as you get hire up the mountain (if meals not included, expect to pay easily a minimum on 10-15 US$ per day, if not more). Access Nepal doesn’t include water, but this isn’t a problem if you bring water purification tablets, you can just fill your bottle from any running water tap (even bathroom!) and off you go – we did this all the way up the mountain, with no problems… where running water isn’t available, our guide Ganesh would fill them up for us from the kitchen water (free of charge) and we would purify that.

All in all, it’s an absolute no brainer, Access Nepal is excellent value for money and a highly regarded company on my part. I would book a trip with them again and would highly recommend!

ABC Trip: Access Nepal was Perfect!!
My wife and I had the vacation of our lives on our trek to ABC and this was partly due to the outstanding service of Access Nepal. From our initial contact with Sadhana last spring until our departure a few days ago, the service, thoughtfulness, attentiveness, and attention to detail was outstanding. For example, as soon as we walked out of the airport in Kathmandu, our guide met us and took care of all detail from then on through the rest of the trip.

It helped that the weather was perfect and we had no significant physical problems. I am 70 my wife is 67 so this was really significant. Our guide, Pershotam and porter, Milan were both professional, knowledgeable, upbeat, and very caring. Their command of English was quite adequate.

We have hiked a fair bit in the USA, Canada, France, Switzerland and Norway. The scenery in the Himalayas was of a scale we had never seen. These mountains are huge and severe because they are so new and uneroded.
The food was much better than we expected. We had a choice from a decent size menu at every meal. The cost of the trip was very reasonable and very competitive with other agencies we compared them to. It was particularly reasonable considering there were only two of us and we had our own guide and porter.

I strongly recommend both Access Nepal and the ABC trip.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek May 2017

My friend and I trekked to ABC in May 2017 through Access Nepal Tours and we were completely blown away! When first booking the trip, Sadhana was very accessible and quick to respond to our questions. Upon our arrival in Nepal, we were so pleased to find our accommodations already sorted out ahead of time! All of our rides, hotel and guest house rooms, and the vast majority of our meals were already taken care of by Access Nepal. This made our trip so much more relaxing and enjoyable, especially since neither of us had been trekking before! Our guide was very professional, personable and knowledgeable. He taught us lots about trekking and the Nepali culture. We were so glad to get to know him! The views along the way were spectacularly beautiful, I’ve never seen anything like it! Everyone associated with Access Nepal treated us with genuine kindness and respect. I would highly recommend this company for your Nepal trekking adventures! Access Nepal will definitely be my company of choice when I return for my next trekking adventure!

Manaslu Circuit with Trevor, Beth and Gianna

We have just had a wonderful thirteen day trek around the Manaslu Circuit. And we felt really privileged to be trekking with Access Nepal. we were the trekkers to get the tea and bickies on arrival at our hotel each night, the only ones to have the apple and pomegranate dessert, and the only ones to get our blood oxygen levels checked each night over 3000 m for altitude sickness. Little Things Matter!! Some of the others we walked with who I knew had paid more didn’t have such little luxuries.
We were also extremely fortunate to be allocated our guide Jivan. Sadhana at Access Nepal promised me she would give us their best guide and I’d thought that maybe she says that to all the guys but I’m pretty sure now it was true. Without his prodding and coaxing, his little stash of pills, his humour at the end of a long day, his advice on what eat or drink or to leave alone – we may not have made it without him. And particularly when it came to the night before we went over the Larkya La and we had 20 cm of snow overnight and there was a pretty strong feeling that we were screwed and we’d have to walk all the way back the way we’d come, it was Jivan who convinced the other guides that it was doable. The 50 odd trekkers and staff who were there worked together to get over the pass safely – an unforgettable experience with people we’d come to know and enjoy the company of over the preceding days.
It was a great trek to do. At the conclusion we drove down part of the Annapurna Circuit and there were at least ten times more trekkers on that route than we’d met on the Manaslu one. The scenery was fantastic, village life interesting, hotels and food were all we needed. OK the toilets at Daramasala were iced up and overflowing but do you expect at a shack like that at 4400?

Gokyo to EBC

I recently did the Gokyo to EBC tour with Access Nepal and had the best experience ever. It was great value for money and our guide Ganesh and two porters, Yadab & Tika were just amazing!!! We had fresh fruit served every night after dinner which was a lovely and unexpected touch. Our porter Yadab even helped with our day packs while myself and one of the other girls struggled to get to the top of cho la pass. Fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend this company! Also the smaller group size (4 of us) made for the perfect trek size since it was easier to stay together.
