Amazing time doing EBC Trek with Access Nepal!

I went with Access Nepal for my Everest Base Camp 14 day trek, and I had an incredible experience!

From my very initial inquiry, Sadhana was quick to respond and answer any questions. She made me feel very comfortable and connected throughout the entire process, and provided me with all the relevant information leading up to my arrival. When we finally met in Kathmandu to discuss the trek, she was just as friendly and kind and made me feel at ease knowing I was starting the next morning.

I was met by my guide Om Prakash at the Kathmandu airport. From there he was with me the entire time as we traveled to Lukla to begin our trek and until I returned to Kathmandu. Om Prakash was an excellent and friendly guide, with so much knowledge of the area, the culture, the route, where to stay and safe places to eat and drink, and he also took the best photos! It was very helpful to have a local speaking guide to handle flight and accommodation logistics on my behalf, making sure I have somewhere to stay and eat every night. Throughout the trek, he managed my health and recommended me the best course of action when I wasn’t feeling 100%. He set the trekking pace accordingly to ensure my best success.

Our porter, Bidur, was also extremely lovely during the trek. He handled my things with proper care, always made sure to have it ready on time by the evening, was extremely friendly and nice to talk to, and provided excellent service and companionship.

Overall I had a 10/10 experience with Access Nepal: the trip coordinator Sadhana, my guide Om Prakash and my porter Bidur. I would recommend going with Access Nepal if you are looking to conquer the EBC trek or any similar in Nepal!

Everest Base Camp Trek With DEVMAN TAMANG !!

Me and 2 other friends from Canada booked with Access Nepal 4 months ahead of our trip to Everest base camp on October 7, 2017. We had many questions about scheduling our incoming flights and what to bring for the trek, Sadhana helped us out and showed us everything we needed. Due to bad weather at Lukla our flight was cancelled, if we didn’t leave the next morning we would not have had time to complete our trek as we only had 3 weeks in Nepal. Our Greatly Gifted Guide Devman got us on one of the first helicopters to Lukla the very next morning. Everything on the trek after that went as planned thanks to Devman. We had a great trip up to the Everest base camp and the top of Kalapatthar making many friends and memories along the way. You pay for a good middle budget company, and you get the best guide that I have ever received for any tour. If you are planning on going anywhere in the Himalayas with Access Nepal I highly recommend that you ask for Devman to be your guide. He will show you the best places, experiences and people, everywhere you go and the best thing about him is that he will get you where you are going for the great views ahead of all the crowd, Every single time. He became a friend to me and my friends that I will be sure to connect with every time I go back to Nepal! To Sum this review up, I recommend Access Nepal for Himalayan trekking and I highly recommend Devman as your tour guide.

Manaslu Circuit with Trevor, Beth and Gianna

We have just had a wonderful thirteen day trek around the Manaslu Circuit. And we felt really privileged to be trekking with Access Nepal. we were the trekkers to get the tea and bickies on arrival at our hotel each night, the only ones to have the apple and pomegranate dessert, and the only ones to get our blood oxygen levels checked each night over 3000 m for altitude sickness. Little Things Matter!! Some of the others we walked with who I knew had paid more didn’t have such little luxuries.
We were also extremely fortunate to be allocated our guide Jivan. Sadhana at Access Nepal promised me she would give us their best guide and I’d thought that maybe she says that to all the guys but I’m pretty sure now it was true. Without his prodding and coaxing, his little stash of pills, his humour at the end of a long day, his advice on what eat or drink or to leave alone – we may not have made it without him. And particularly when it came to the night before we went over the Larkya La and we had 20 cm of snow overnight and there was a pretty strong feeling that we were screwed and we’d have to walk all the way back the way we’d come, it was Jivan who convinced the other guides that it was doable. The 50 odd trekkers and staff who were there worked together to get over the pass safely – an unforgettable experience with people we’d come to know and enjoy the company of over the preceding days.
It was a great trek to do. At the conclusion we drove down part of the Annapurna Circuit and there were at least ten times more trekkers on that route than we’d met on the Manaslu one. The scenery was fantastic, village life interesting, hotels and food were all we needed. OK the toilets at Daramasala were iced up and overflowing but do you expect at a shack like that at 4400?

After making the decision to do the EBC trek, I did a lot of research about tour companies. I decided to go with Access Nepal because of so many positive reviews and the fact that they were based locally in Nepal. The whole booking experience was so easy. I was in constant contact with Sadhana who was so friendly and informative about the itinerary, logistics equipment etc.

I was quite nervous flying to Nepal alone, but I was completely put at ease as soon as my incredible guide Ganesh met me at the arrival area of KTM airport. From getting me to the hotel, to Lukla airport and ultimately to EBC, Ganesh made the whole experience so easy and allowed me to truly enjoy the adventure I was having.

Because I was on this trek solo, I got to spend a lot of time talking with Ganesh while hiking and at meal times. He spent hours telling me about the different regions we were hiking through, the local customs, other treks he takes clients on. He took time to introduce me to other guides and porters which was really nice considering I was otherwise by myself. His passion for the Himalayas was so obvious and it made the experience even more enjoyable.

If you are even thinking of booking a tour with Access Nepal, you should go ahead and do it, and ask for Ganesh! I can guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Amazing local company! Coordinating everything with Sadhana jee was was very straight forward. Dev Mann was our guide, and he was incredible! Very knowledgeable and hilarious! Netra was our porter, and he’s a powerhouse. We were a small group of 4 (2 of us + Dev Mann and Netra). Everyone was very polite and patient. My friend and I had a great experience!
Highly recommend!!
