Myself and my mother have completed Everest base camp trek with Access Nepal. To say we had a good experience would be an understatement, it was truly excellent. From day one exchanging emails with Sadhana we were looked after – our questions answered immediately with great advice, hotel booked for us (as we arrived a week before the trek), and every aspect looked after so that we could relax and enjoy Nepal thoroughly.

Our guide was Devman, and he exceeded out expectations in every way. We read a review by a Canadian, Don, who mentioned “the Devman Advantage” and the five of us in our group agreed this was the perfect description for having Dev as our guide. From making sure we got the best seats on the flight to Lukla, to never having to wait for our bags at the teahouses, to having an endless supply of delicious cookies and even fixing the window in our room in the teahouses; Dev is the perfect example of what a guide should be. He is knowledgeable, professional, and has the most genuine generosity of spirit I’ve ever encountered. Along with the two porters and the other guide/porter Kiran, we had so much fun and never had to worry about a thing. Crucially, we met a lot of people who did not receive the right advice or help from their guide and many were not successful in reaching EBC. Dev’s advice and knowledge is central to the 100% success rate of our trip.

An important thing I need to mention is the tipping practice of these organizations. The trip prices are so reasonable because of the intense competition between trekking companies in Kathmandu. For this reason, the customer is extremely well looked after but the guides and porters are paid enough to cover the trip themselves and not much more. DO NOT BOOK ANY TRIP TREKKING IN THE HIMALAYA IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO TIP ADEQUATELY. These people work harder than you can imagine, long hours and heavy loads every single day and the tip they receive is often the only sum that makes the work a profit. 15% is the MINIMUM tip so please factor this into your budget, and once you see for yourself the work that goes into creating a perfect experience for you, you will see 15% is a more than reasonable suggestion.

We want to thank Access Nepal and especially Dev and Sadhana for the absolute privilege it was to have this experience with them. Dev is an incredible asset to the company and the company itself is a perfect example of the success that can be achieved in supporting smaller, LOCAL businesses and not the multinational adventure corporations. Thanks guys and we will be back!!!

If you are looking for a trekking company to do Everest base camp trek – look no further. This company will take care of you from start to finish! We had subodh as our guide. And Netra as our porter. It was just my husband and I with these two. They were an amazing team! They made our experience so good I would consider this trip a huge success! Our guide had everything we needed from water purification tablets to all the knowledge you need to help altitude sickness. He also helped me consistently carry my day pack. 🥲 Help that I needed on the trek. He also helped find good tea houses the entire way. Anytime we had a request he worked really hard to make sure we can get what we asked for at the tea houses! From a shower, to an outlet, to having a room above the dining area (it makes the room warmer). Netra went above and beyond. And was not just a porter. He took photographs and videos of us while we went up kala pathar on horses. I now have this beautiful experience captured thanks to him. 🥲 I am not a fast hiker and these two were very very patient. We made it to Base camp December 1, 2022. It was an amazing experience! I could not have done it without Subodh and Netra! Thank you so much! Pratap from Access Nepal also helped us with information, prior and after the trek. He was available on WhatsApp – at all times for any questions. He was with us before the trek, and after. We had a wonderful trek to EBC organised by Pratap and guided by Jivan. We felt that they were very organised and took great care to look after our safety and wellbeing. It was wonderful to reach Base Camp on a clear day, however, we enjoyed the whole trek up and back.

Mount Everest Base Camp

I highly recommend Access Nepal Tours for the Mount Everest Base Camp trek. I went with one other friend and joined 3 others (1 from Ireland and 2 from Brazil) and we had a great time.

I researched lots of companies before going with ANTT and you can be a little unsure of who to book with but I definitely chose the way right company. Reasonably priced and very professional. I booked the trek through a lady called Sadhana who was great. She is very professional and very informative prior to booking.

Our guide was Keshar who was a lovely man. Very polite and friendly. His team were excellent also.

Overall, if you are looking for a great experience with friends or alone, I recommend you use ANTT and email Sadhana.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek May 2017

My friend and I trekked to ABC in May 2017 through Access Nepal Tours and we were completely blown away! When first booking the trip, Sadhana was very accessible and quick to respond to our questions. Upon our arrival in Nepal, we were so pleased to find our accommodations already sorted out ahead of time! All of our rides, hotel and guest house rooms, and the vast majority of our meals were already taken care of by Access Nepal. This made our trip so much more relaxing and enjoyable, especially since neither of us had been trekking before! Our guide was very professional, personable and knowledgeable. He taught us lots about trekking and the Nepali culture. We were so glad to get to know him! The views along the way were spectacularly beautiful, I’ve never seen anything like it! Everyone associated with Access Nepal treated us with genuine kindness and respect. I would highly recommend this company for your Nepal trekking adventures! Access Nepal will definitely be my company of choice when I return for my next trekking adventure!

Annapurna Base Camp

So I signed up for the Annapurna Base Camp Trek and it was an amazing experience.
First of all, all the administrative stuff was handled amazingly. I was in touch with Sadhana, who answered all my questions (and there were a lot) with a lot of patience.
It all went very smoothly.

The trek itself was beautiful, the changing vegetation was an amazing experience. You start in the jungle and work yourself up to snow and stones. I have the admit, that it was harder than I thought, but definitely manageable as you do a break to acclimatize. Apparently people are doing it in two weeks, but I would definitely take the option of access nepal and do it in more days as you want to enjoy the scenery to, not just run the trek.

The porters and the guide were fantastic, I really didn’t expect that they go the extra mile every day.

As the guide plays a major role in the trek, some more words about Ganesh:

He was fantastic! Not only is he knowledgeable, doing this treks so many times he knows every stone, every teahouse and every person on the trek, also his attitude was amazing. He is really a great person, always laughing, always joking a really warm human being. I can absolutely recommend him.

It was a great experience doing this and the organization was spotless. Access Nepal delivered what was promised. They are a slightly bit more expensive than other companies, but keep in mind that this is a lifetime experience. I doubt, that I will do the same trek a second time. Therefore its totally worth it to pay a little bit more (and we are really talking about a marginal sum and have a great organization so you can focus on the trek. I will definitely come back and do the Everest base camp with Access Nepal!
