Amazing 11 day ABC trek

In December, me and a group of 4 friends did the ABC trek with Access Nepal, guided by Dev. Overall it was a difficult but extremely rewarding experience, definitely made better by Dev’s professionalism and years of trekking. I would definitely recommend going with this tour company, as the staff were all experienced, knowledgable and very likeable. There were several instances where people in my group (myself included) got sick or injured, and we felt quite lucky and grateful to have Dev to support us and provide the right advice as to how to best look after ourselves while trekking, especially regarding the high altitudes.

For accommodation, the nights that we stayed in a hotel (2 nights in Kathmandu and 2 in Pokhara) were great, extremely comfortable and felt like luxury especially after the trek. We were also treated to two delicious meals, one in KTH and one in Pokhara, as an introduction and farewell.The teahouses while trekking were basic but had everything we needed, i.e. a bed and roof over our heads. Showers were available for free in 2 of the 5 nights, but the water wasn’t very warm. The other nights required a payment of $2-3 USD, which some would consider worth especially after a day trekking. It was quite cold, but with the down sleeping bags we borrowed from Access Nepal, we were quite comfortable.

Food was extremely basic, and we tended to stick to eat the same 5 food options over the duration of the trek, despite the fact menus had a very large variety of options. This was under the recommendation of Dev, who suggested we avoid dairy/meat/eggs/things our bodies can’t handle at high altitudes, which probably prevented us from getting even more sick.

The trek itself is said to be more of a beginner/amateur trek, but even we found it quite difficult at times. I think it was most difficult to adjust to climbing uphill then downhill for several hours a day. The scenery was breathtaking, and we were fortunate enough to actually make it to ABC (not all groups make it because of time constraints/walking speeds, etc).

My son and I used Access Nepal for this trek and received excellent service starting with our correspondence with Sadhana before the trip and extending to our guide and porters for the length of the trip. The trek was magical. The views and the culture were exceptional. I would highly recommend this trek and especially Access Nepal to anyone.

Had a fantastic experience with Access Nepal to EBC in late Dec18 – Jan. Pratap was helpful and always prompt in responding to queries especially I am travelling solo this trip. And of course our guide Devman was superb and very experienced, our group were really grateful to have him and the two porters to make this trip successful.

The Himalayas truly have got amazing scenery and a very rich cultural influence. Thanks to our guide Dev who always share and explain the Buddhist culture, rituals and beliefs, which made us fit in to more of the local customs. He is well organised and will make sure every detail is in place, our small group have been fed with lots of tasty biscuits and fresh fruits snacks all along the way. He is with a great sense of humour and at the same time giving firm advise on our daily dietary on the way to basecamp given that there are plenty options to choose from on the menu; Dalbhat, ginger tea and momo were the iconic dish most of the days.

And of course without the help of the two porters, I won’t be able to make it to the base, they have been very dedicated and a great company all along the way, excellent services I have to say, you will know when you experience it yourself.

I am very lucky to have this fun journey without any dramas with this group wonderful people, thank you!

Excellent, knowledgeable tour guides who speak English extremely well

We went on two different day tours around Kathmandu with Access Nepal, and both were great. The best was the tour of Patan and Bhaktapur, mainly because we saw so many different sights that day. Tour the museum as well, even though it’s an extra charge, though not much, as I recall. Both our guides spoke English very well and were quite forthcoming about the history and customs of Hindus in Nepal. They were both friendly and talkative. Sadhana will also customize a trip for you if you like.

Unforgettable Everest Basecamp Trekking

Hello! Me and my boyfriend did the Everest Base Camp trekking and it was just PERFECT. Sadhana and Pratap had helped us since the first e-mail and made us feel so confortable. We came from Brazil completely safe for this jorney. During the trekking we were guided by Jivan, a very experienced guide. He made our days safe, fun and unforgettable. EBC CIRCUIT VIA GOKYO – AMAZING MEMORABLE ADVENTURE

The guide, Devman Tamang, was excellent. Throughout the trek he looked after the group and was really helpful and friendly. In addition the porters were also friendly.
The trek itself was amazing. The scenery and the views were outstanding, and everyday there was something different to enjoy. The trek felt well balanced and at times challenging but rewarding. Overall really happy with the trek, the guide, and the host, Access Nepal, who were extremely welcoming and friendly. Would book again and highly recommend.
