Amazing trek to Annapurna Base Camp

We did the ABC Trek in November 2019, and it was an amazing experience! We highly recommend Access Nepal Tour & Trekking.

We wanted to trek with a company based in Nepal, and Access Nepal turned out to be a great choice for us. From the initial planning stages to the final farewell dinner in Kathmandu, Rahul (our primary contact) was a great help. Good service, reliable. Rahul answered all of my questions promptly, and always provided detailed and helpful responses. Rahul met us the morning after our arrival in Kathmandu, and ensured we had personal assistance for anything we needed throughout the trip. We wanted to visit Bhaktapur before the trek to ABC, and he made all the arrangements for us. One day we were taking a Tourist Bus between two of the cities on our itinerary, and Rahul even phoned to make sure all was well. When we had our farewell dinner/feedback session he noticed I had a bad cold and cough (and no meds) so he paid our waiter to go out and buy me cough syrup and decongestant lozenges!

The company provides free duffle bags, so we decided to bring our gear in suitcases and transfer everything to the duffle bags once we arrived in Kathmandu. The bags were good quality, and waterproof, so this worked out very well for the trek and we’re glad to have the duffle bags for future trips. Access Nepal also lets you borrow down jackets and sleeping bags, and we took advantage of this offer; again, we were pleased with the quality of the jackets and bags, and just brought along our own silk liners to use in the bags.

The entire trip, including the welcome dinner and city tour in Kathmandu, was well-organized. The hotels provided by Access Nepal in both Kathmandu (Landmark Kathmandu) and Pokhara (Batika Hotel) were very good. And the trek was the experience of a lifetime. Incredible mountains and waterfalls, forests, suspension bridges, interesting villages and people, hot springs, monkeys and more! Plus we had a wonderful guide, NavaRaj Wagle, and porter, Eklal. They were a great team, and lots of fun.

I would highly recommend NavaRaj – anyone would be extremely fortunate to have him as the guide for a trek. He was an excellent guide, always professional, safety-conscious, knowledgeable, courteous, helpful, kind and caring. NavaRaj always provided us with great advice and information on the trek, whether about avoiding high altitude sickness or whatever. We knew we were in good hands and had complete confidence in him. Access Nepal is lucky to have NavaRaj as an employee, and we were very happy to make this trek with NavaRaj and Eklal.

We wanted to spend a few days in Chitwan National Park after the trek to ABC, so Rahul made all the arrangements for that as well.

We spent about three weeks in Nepal, and the staff from Access Nepal did a great job of looking after us from the moment we arrived at the airport in Kathmandu until we departed.If we ever return to this special part of the world for another trek, we will be booking with Access Nepal. And asking for NavaRaj to be our guide!

Unforgettable family trek – The Annapurna Circuit

My experience ….

Imagine a month away from the stress of modern life, where you forget what day of the week it might be and where your only focus is on the absolute magnificence of the towering geography around you and the chats / laughter you share with your family as you walk through one incredible day after another…

Our (extended) family of 7 (Aged 18 to 53) were looking for a special trek to do together. Having done many walks, it is an understatement to say that the ACT was extraordinary. Walking up the valleys and across the pass (Thorang La) the landscape was ever changing, breath taking, inspiring, humbling. The walking was tough, challenging but doable and deeply satisfying.

This was the first walk we had done where we had guides and porters. I was initially hesitant about how this might work, but I cannot speak highly enough of the great team that looked after us. Jivan (Head Guide), Mahendra (Assistant Guide) and our porters Bimal, Sanjay and Rajen were perfect. Highly competent, knowledgeable, safety conscious but full of fun, they looked after us with professionalism and concern (when needed) for the entire trip.

I’m still glowing in the twilight of our walk and thinking about planning the next. I will definitely be using Sadhana and her wonderful team!

In March 2018 I trekked the Annapurna Sanctuary with Access Nepal Tours. What an incredible, memorable and spectacular trek! I was completely blown away with the beautiful ever-changing scenery we saw each day. I was very surprised by the yummy food and the accommodation/facilities were much better than I ever thought.

Our knowledgeable guide Devman is a legend!! As soon as we met him we knew we were in good hands. He took such good care of everyone on the trek and no question or request was too much to ask. The porters were also very helpful and kind.

The tour company was excellent and promptly responded to all our email enquiries.
I highly recommend this tour company as it was very well organized and we honestly had no issues at all. I think this tour company is great value for money.

EBC and Kala Patthar Trek

I completed the Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar trek from the 18th of March 2017 with my brother and Sister. It was the best thing I have ever done and I was extremely satisfied with how well everything was organised. Right from the first steps with booking the trip in, Sadhana replied very promptly to our emails and answered all our questions before we arrived. We were picked up at the airport and greeted with beautiful flowers. Our guide Ganesh was amazing. He was so knowledgeable about every village we visited and knew a lot of people along the way. We always felt safe and in very good hands. Our Porters Hira and Dambar were so lovely and were very helpful. To sum everything up, the whole experience was awesome and we have made friends for life. I definitely recommend using Access Nepal and I look forward to using them again when i return 😁

Three High Passes done to Perfection

I couldnt rave more about Access Nepal and the whole team that works there. Firstly, our guide manager, Pratap, was very well spoken, communicated efficiently and effectively, and was a pleasure to work with from the outset.
The tour itself, Three High Passes + EBC, was planned perfectly with incredible guides, porters and accommodation. Our guide, Subodh, his assistant guide/porter Netra, and the 2 porters were absolutely outstanding the whole journey. They were respectful, fun to be around, and very attentive to our needs. Honestly, at almost no point in the trip did we have to worry about the trip itself, allowing us to focus on trekking and our health. This was particularly valuable when I heard of horror stories from fellow tourists with other companies.
