The Short Everest Base Camp Trek is a specially designed Itinerary for those trekkers who have a limited time frame but willing to reach the base camp of the world’s highest peak, Everest.
Everest Base Camp Short Trek is a moderate/demanding trek that does not require any technical expertise in mountaineering. However, since there are no acclimatization days we would suggest you to train yourself by being used to some kind of regular exercise to keep yourself healthy and strong that will help you better acclimatize and adapt to the mountain environment.
It is basically a long hike up to an altitude of 5,364 meters – Everest Base Camp and 5,5000 meters – Kala Patter or “Black Rock”. The trek is only grueling because of its duration of 9 days hike up and down the hill across diverse terrains.
The estimated journey of the EBC trek is 130 Km from Lukla (The Gateway of Everest Region). There are a couple of steep hills to tackle but the paths are zigzagged to make it easier and there is plenty of time to stop for a rest. We will trek in the early morning and stop for breakfast and for lunchtime so that you could adapt to the environment and have a nice stop for a rest. On average we will be trekking 5 to 6 hours a day so that you won’t feel exhausted. You will have enough time to capture your moments in a frame.
The terrain can be slippy sometimes with ice, but there is no need for any technical equipment or skills. As it is basically a long trek at altitude, trekkers need to walk approx 13–15 Km per day. A Person with reasonable fitness can achieve this feat.
Our Experienced Guides will help you to get everything in place and we suggested you to consult with them if you feel uneasy due to high altitude. Access Nepal Team is flexible enough to change the overnight stay as per your suggestions.
