Giri Raj Karki was born in 1982 in Solukhumbu. Becoming part of trekking groups since his early years, he’s been a licensed guide since 2014. Having completed intermediate level studies, he speaks good English and Hindi. He has spent most of his life amidst the mountains and hills of Nepal and enjoys studying the nature. Trained in first-aid, map reading, navigation and other faculties, his expertise in high altitude trekking is notable. Opportunities to travel and earn new friends from different parts of the world are what he enjoys the most as a guide. He has trekked to all major destinations of Nepal and has a deep sense of reverence for the mountains.
